Summer is here (other than the weather) - looking forward to all the "I heard that xxxx was seen with a bloke in a suit coming out of xxxx eating a xxx and also my brother in law knows a bloke that used to work with a woman who knew .........................."

Happy days !!

We are now being linked with Alan Sheenan, who hasleft notts county. Played for MA in his short spell at Leicester. He would be an amazing acquisition

I remember saying about him a while ago, around March/April as someone I would like us to sign, I said him, Alan Judge, Cody McDonald and Sam Saunders.

We all hate those rumour sites but can't help looking eh?

Myself and Mr Throwoff conducted an "experiment" last year starting random rumors on twitter and seeing what would happen It seems some folk will retweet and quote anything without doing any checking! amazingly we even found that there were odds appearing on betting sites concerning the entirely made up "facts" that we put in twitter.................

Personally I enjoy all this stuff but in the end it's up to MA and Mr Scally to do the real business, they did well last year so let's hope we have a few surprises to come !

I actually enjoy looking at that site. It is quite obvious most of it is so ridiculous, but once in a while (law of averages I suppose) some rumours come true. Most of it is wishful thinking, but sometimes someone does hear something and can't put where they got it from or who from, so its a way of letting fans know whats going on. Most message boards (and one in particular) won't let you put anything on there without a "creditable link" whatever that is,but you get banned if you question it.

<whistle> and I know all about that <laugh>

That's because some people forget in the message board world it is no more than that conversation down the pub. As long has people don't start getting silly with it I don't see a problem. I think the only time I ever really got involved in a situation was when some poster decided to start making unsavoury remarks about Frank Nouble, he was promptly shown the exit and I decided to have a spring clean at the same time.

Sometimes it is more fun finding ways to dismiss the rumours than to actually accredit them. Because has as already been mentioned only PS and MA decide what really happens.

Seems to me there are as many banned from "that site" as there are members. Mr Throwoff was banned (but I dont blame them!!!) <whistle>

Seems to me that the hard line shown to the occasional idiot here sets the tone nicely, and to the boards credit most "real" things appear here pretty quickly (with links)

Thanks.

I spoke to quite a few members from another certain board and not one of them even knew I was banned until I told them. So much for democracy eh. I can get into any site if I want, no matter what controls they have, even despite any banning orders. I know how to get round their shield but you know what I can't be asked, there are principles here, so it is what it is.

I have spent the past 6 weeks at Priestfield every monday for a course.

I have had a spy around but seen nothing of real interest.

All I can confirm is that on one occasion the admin office opposite the boardroom was a hive of activity and I heard the word 'contract' mentioned in the madness.

I also saw several flash cars outside, brand new Mercs, Audis etc, I doubt any of them belong to players at this level but agents possibly?

Is that why you were trying out those disguises at the RE museum on Sat?<whistle>
