You really have a dislike for Mr Duffen don't you.
I happen to have had several conversations with him and he comes across as a very articulate and pleasant individual but then many would say that about me
I also have it from an ex player that he used 'company funds' for a deposit on a large yacht....perhaps this is what he was asked to pay back, or an ex manager who thought his champagne lifestyle and TV profile went a little to his head. but then I am sure both would deny it if this information was contested.
I doubt anyone has 'real information' as to what happened, just gossip and hearsay....lets be honest, everyone likes a villain in a soap story which was HCAFC at the time.
Those who claim the Allam's are the next massiah may find that in a year or two they turn out to be just a couple of businessmen making a small fortune out or our little club.
Of course, they make the right noises, say the right things and have on the face of it put up an awful lot of their 'hard earned' money (i use quote marks as we don't know how legitimately they earned it) but I am sure they have done everything above board.
The point here is this, unless we have the hard evidence published on what happened, we cannot in all seriousness comment on it.
What Mr Duffen is good at is marketing and PR profiling, this could mean many many things for example, like previously stated, dealing with the council with regards the KC. Finding new investors, dealing with the aftermath of moving to Melton or elsewhere out of the city, sorting the crap food and beer out at the KC...who knows but I am sure nobody and i mean nobody will take the piss out of our Egyptian owners.

I wish once and for all someone would just say what really happened. And be not afraid to do it. The truth isn't dangerous as it can't amount to slander and there is always a public interest or whistleblower argument.

In all seriousness, I loved the Brown / Ms Duffen rumours. People were so close yet so wide of the mark.
