There was a consortium that bought the club in 2007, not just Bartlett and Duffen.
There was Martin Walker.
James Craddock was Executive Director.
Murky times.
duffen didn't put a penny in , he was their "face" of the takeover ...

afraid it is quite true Im afraid , I worked at city during his tenure .. and found a lot of things out .. one thing I can say 100% true is that duffen was a puppet .. he was told what to do by Bartlett etc .. he loved the limelight etc but the cost to him was that he was the "frontman" .. in other words when it went tits up , he took the flack ..
sorry to ruin your illusions
I remember Daisy "finding things out" on another board back in the day. I apologise now for arguing the toss re: the INVESTEC loan, which in the end very nearly crippled us.
You could have found a better way of disseminating this information though - at less personal cost, perhaps anonymously through trusted intermediaries?

Oh yeah - another thing that doesn't figure - why, if Duffen is just "giving an interview", doesn;t he give it to a commercial concern such as the YP, HDM, one of the tabloids,Sky ect....
Local BBC radio - won't get much of a fee for that. Must be something more to it.
I think he did probably put a few quid into KCFM at startup though.
yeah that court case was dropped , cost me a job amongst other things ... but hey ho .. such is life
duffen was not the crook ... anyone who thinks he was is a fool ..
Bollocks, he was a thieving **** who took backhanders from agents and used club money to fund his lifestyle.
He's more slippery than a haddock having a piggy back on a jellyfish.
