I trust the Allams 100% IF Duffer is coming back there must be a good reason. Just no idea what. Must be part of some plan
Good point. It might be an Anti-Brady move. It's not implausible that Allam's apparent dislike for the Council could skew his judgement.
Have humberside confirmed they have an interview with Duffen and it will be aired? I haven't heard anything
They've done the interview, but have not yet announced when it will be aired, it's probably being run by their legal department first. I suggested to Mike White that the delay was due to Gwilym having to learn how to pronounce Lamborghini, but apparently Gwilym thinks Lamborghini is a cheap fizzy wine.
I'm not sure, it's only really the Allam's opinion that matters and I simply can't see what Duffen offers. Unless they just want to piss off AP by putting him in charge of the SMC.
So are they expecting it to be this week? Also why have they done an interview and why now? Are they expecting him back at the club
I'm simply reading this as an appointment to act as middle-man between the Allams and the Council to broker a deal to buy the stadium. I have no opinion on his trustworthiness, honour or integrity because I have no first-hand knowledge and will listen eagerly to his RH interview (pencilled in for this week I believe) with an open mind.
I'm not sure when it's going to be broadcast, according to Mike White it 'just needs editorial checks'. The rumour is that Duffen is joining the SMC.
I'm not sure about Duffen, his interview will be interesting at least. Whatever happens I'm sure pappa knows the score and won't do anything to damage his investment.
I think there's no doubt he had some dodgy dealings at the clubs expense, but its ****ing ludicrous to blame the whole situation on him. Bartlett and the others were the true owners, they would make the decisions, Duffen would just be the front man as others have said. There may also be a case of duffens dodgy dealings as being a 'take this and shut up' bribe from the ones above? Either way I find it impossible to trust him or blame him as none of us have a ****ing clue what actually went on, but I reckon the Allams will have a pretty good idea of the whole situation, and if they think he's the right man for whatever they want doing, I trust their judgement. One thing though is Duffen has always seemed to keep a keen loving eye on us ever since he resigned, and been to a decent amount of matches. If he saw us purely as a victim to rip money out of, I doubt he'd have much of an interest at all after he left.
I think for me that just about sums up my feelings as well. I can't believe the Allams would take someone on, if they has any doubts about him. They obviously have a specific job they want him to do, and they feel he is the best man for this job.
I was wondeering if it's simply a case of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Both have issues with Adam, despite the rosey picture painted in the media since the sorting of all issues relating to his sacking.
He's the perfect man to facilitate in the purchase of the KC (whether he managed to pocket a few quid for himself in the process, or not) and piss off AP. Win-win for the Allams.
Could it be possible he is fronting another consortium with a potential 49% stake? Ownership of the Club and SMC are linked are they not?
Duffen's a snake oil salesman, he couldn't raise that sort of coin, nor is he connected with the sort of people who could.
