In his defence Kinnear did sign Nolan and we all know what he did to the Mackems <ok>

He also signed Ryan Taylor and we all know what he did to the Mackems too <ok>

I'm surprised they're so overjoyed by his appointment...

I don't think any of us then thought '****, I wish we'd signed Ryan Taylor'.

Nolan, well, everyone knows what Nolan brings to any team, hardly talent spotting is it?

If those are the 2 you are holding up as his beacons of glory, then I ain't surprised the vast majority of you are ****ing raging.

but in fairness i can't think of a single Sunderland player i wish we had signed other than Fletcher. Kinnear was with us for 6 months- 1 transfer window, whilst he got rid of n'zogbia and given. how's their careers at the moment?

Well good for you mate, delighted that Joe has made you happy <ok>

Frankly, most of us don't rate any of the players we've signed either, Sess, Fletch, Mig I guess, but then, we are doing something about it, as we also appointed a Director of Football.

You may wanna look at a list of the players he found, their careers, and how much profit his clubs made from them, it's quite an impressive list.

well looks like my opinion on Ashley being a **** throughout the freak season was correct.

save yourselves a few quid and start spending your money in better places.

There can only be one reason behind this, and someone hit on it above. The club are aware that many fans aren't behind Pardew, and so have appointed Kinnear in the knowledge that many of these will now change tact and get behind the manager, knowing the terrifying alternative.

That's a very cunning plan!

Kinnear's arrival improves our chances of staying up.....

Really can't understand what your owner is up to.

Stunned. Gobsmacked. It's the most batsh!t crazy thing I've ever seen at this fcking crazy club.

Sums it up for me. I just don't get it at all.

Ashley is a self-made billionaire 'n all. How...?

You know, it must be good to be a Sunderland fan because you know, just know, that when things are bad at the nuRoker Park that the jokers up the road are going to do something unfathomably stupid that it's going to make your day.

Hardly happy but gunna have to get on with it and support the club like. forgot about mig tho that's another, yeh i can see reason for you to be more optimistic with your own appointment, it looks you're going down a similar route of cheaper foreign imports, it's more satisfying spending one mill on a good player than 10 on an average one. was just saying ya never know, kinnear's small amount of time was not terrible transfer-wise, just everything else!. i personally can't see him able to justify to Mike Ashley buying a pricey average English player over one of Carr's ligue 1 signings on small wages

Why have the club made no comment?

Tomorrow morning:

"Joe, what the hell, you couldn't wait for the official press release?"
"Sorry Mike, I was so ****ing exfuckingcited. This is ****ing bastard unbelievable...."
"Settle down Joe, you'll have a hearty"
"**** you Mike you ****ing fat ****ing bastard"
"Remember Joe, you're in a position of authority and respect now, you need to be professional"
"**** off"

Quality!

My worst nightmares for this transfer window: 1. Ben Arfa moving on
2. Signing any player from Stoke
3. Not signing anyone
Never did I even contemplate Joe Kinnear coming back to the club, this supersedes my nightmares.
