Of course not, because he's right and everyone else is wrong, so if he says that he's not doing anything antagonistic then he's right. We're only pretending to disagree with him because we're bullies, if we applied our minds (or, mind, as we're all just following a hive mindset) we'd realise that we're wrong.

It's not, it's important that you're doing it in such an abrasive way that people are taking offense, rather than whether or not you disagree. I don't like the Lovren transfer but people haven't been "bullying" me because I don't put my opinion about the way you do.

Another question may be, why is it so important to you that you disagree?

We don't have an issue with that, several people have stated similar - but have worded it reasonably and expressed it in a sensible, level-headed and articulate manner.

All you have done is come on here, professed to being some sort of oracle that can see the future, and give us a definitive answer that you are right and all in opposition are wrong, whilst belittling points raised by others.

Is that difficult to understand as to why you are getting people narky?

christ on a bike. i'm not saying I can see the future. i'm trying to provide examples (and perhaps failing) of why the 30m we spent last season got us poor value in the short term and saying that in my opinion going into that season with minimal premier league experience was an unjustifiable risk without hindsight.

I still don't understand why it's made you all flame me. I didn't go calling you all ballbags or kiddies or anything.

I don't think anyone has retained the point i made int he first place. The money was ill spent for our first season in the premier league. We spent all but the couple of hundredk on Davis on prospects and punts.

I think it would have been wiser at the time to have spent a quarter to a third of our punt budget on one or two experienced heads.

The number to which he refers is not the transfer fee, it's your assessment of the player's value.

And your argument boils down to 'we would have survived with more room to spare had we acquired more experienced players'. That might be true, though it's a non-falsifiable proposition. But it's also utterly irrelevant, as the season is long since over and we accomplished the desired task.

The word "meme" was coined by Richard Dawkins in 1976. And I don't think anyone here goes on 4chan.

No my argument boils down to, I wouldn't have started the season with so little experience or with KElvin, and Fox in the team. I said it at the start of the season, I said it throughout the season and i'll say it now. I was hopeful at the start of the season for Gaston and Jay, but there were plenty of people at the time saying how it was a lot of money for them and when the transfer window shut plenty of peopel were saying "we're short of experience". I don't know if you lot have been steadfast with your current opinions from the start, but that was not the majority opinion i was aware of at the time.
