We aren't playing Wednesday next season and I don't expect we'll be playing Jakupovic either, which makes all your points moot.

And ****ing stupid.

See, I can multi-task, even better than a bookkeeper.

Does that mean that you don't think the study of history is useful to understanding the future?

Bookkeeper? I suggested "office cleaner" especially for people like you so you could get more excited about your insults.

He might well be. I hope we see who is available though and make the decision then.

Honestly I would rather we just sign someone like McGregor who is good enough and then concentrate on the other positions that need filling. We need a couple strikers a couple midfielders and a couple defenders. Maybe even more, none of which will be easy to fill. I would rather the club have everyone available on those tasks as opposed to trying to find a goalie slightly better than McGregor.

Yes, that's how I earn my living.

But when I'm on a football forum I talk about football and refrain from gratuitous abuse.

I take my hat off to you Peter.

You may come over as a boring, sanctimonious old twat, but you've got real stamina and always come back with a witty retort!

I was just disappointed when Celtic won to be honest Pete, knew Celtic fans would turn in to Leeds fans and start living off the past for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever..............!!! To be fair they did win the SPL against all the odds to!!!!!

To be fair though TygerTyger Celtic did Beat Barca ye know, they should av mentioned it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surprised they haven't. Now would be a good opportunity.......................................

Go for it Bhoys, what was the score? Talk us through the goals etc.

We expect our wage bill next season to be around £40m.

I'm glad you're not in charge of recruitment if you think Campbell will keep us up, his Premier League goal scoring record is appalling.

You think £30k a week is reasonable for a striker who scores one in ten?

I know you're an accountant, so i'm sure you can figure out that four goals a season from a striker is probably not enough. In fact, it would be £390k per goal and possibly the worst investment since Hull City signed Jimmy Bullard.

PS - I'm glad you're not my accountant...

Peter may be talking ****, but this is why I say you put too much emphasis on goal records. If you judge him on what you've seen as you always say, surely you know he's a good player from those experiences of him constantly scoring either for or against us?

Once we have a "good" goalkeeper then a "good" striker will be more important. I wouldn't have thought the effort needed to look for players is too onerous until they start trying to thrash out deals. It doesn't seem to be done like with lawyers when they are supposed to stay up all night until it's completed. They seem to like taking their time - probably because they want to try it on and then backtrack if it doesn't work!

Except for the first bit - I agree with you!

The real transfer market hasn't started so it is more cautious at the moment. My view is that we have to seal the deals that we can for the players we can afford, now. Then we can be more adventurous when it all kicks off.

By the way the only opinion that counts on here is mine. For me that is.
