I've been watching on a 2 hour delay since about one o'clock, I've several times clicked on the thread, seen your updates and thought '**** why do I keep looking on here?!', and yet I inadvertently keep doing it and ruining it for myself.
I have recorded matches before and tried to watch as if it is live...but a little part of me always knows that elsewhere in the Universe everyone knows how Saints/England have done. You end up checking anyway.

I do it all the time as my sleeping pattern is erratic to say the least, it is a bizarrely strong test of will power. The other problem is that what I do a lot of the time whilst watching cricket or the NFL or any extended sport or a football game I'm not hugely interested in etc., is just flick through my bookmarks every now and then during a break in play and I'll end up looking on twitter or the BBC homepage, or even click on the NFL.com website whilst watching an NFL game from the night before.
Not your fault I just need to not have the memory of a goldfish!
Did this with England last year during the Euros. Was watching a game (can't remember which one) an hour behind. Biting my nails, full of tension and low and behold we hear the neighbours cheering next door. From that point on, the whole match experience was ruined, we had to fast forward to the live version to see what was going on and missed a large chunk of the match. Needless to say, wont be doing that again!
Girls appreciate that sort of a sentiment. Telling your teenage mate about your plan to go see some camel-toe is a different matter.
Haha there is a steep learning curve for sure. Best to try and squad up and get a helping hand from a mate or two, especially if they are a medic so they can be your guardian angel.
