Battlefield 3, yeah. It's a hard game to get to grips with, and you'll probably be **** for a good while. It's far, far better than COD in terms of teamwork. Everyone has to do a job for the team and you don't all run around the map like headless chickens; you stick with your team or squad (unless you're a sniper) and you all make your way to the objective. If you're carrying med kits or ammo boxes then you'll be expected to provide for your team mates when they're running low or the people with headsets will shout at you. It's pretty overwhelming at first with all the stuff you have to pay attention to, but once you get used to it it's fun as ****.

You're selling it to me!

You're selling it to me!

Just sold it to myself, actually. Playing it now.

I've had this game for a year, and still haven't got the hang of the vehicles; I'm confident in a jeep, and okay in a tank, but anything that flies is just way out of my comfort zone. Also the only way to practice is during an online game, and there's nothing more embarrassing than crashing a chopper into the ground when carrying your entire squad as passengers.

Embarrassing? I've never played it but that alone sounds like enough fun to justify getting it, nothing beats doing **** like that.

I watched a couple of reviews. I'm sold. I wanna play this game. Does this one make me a virgin nerd, though?

Some games get really long and really intense, so you can feel the frustration of your team mates when you kill them. Also they yell at you. :(

More so than FM, for sure.

(I'm currently browsing servers looking for a good one to join, and one is called [Brony]. Eugh.)

Just sounds like it'd make me laugh. But then I am the kind of guy who'd devote an entire CoD hardcore game to chasing one of my own team around and killing him if he was being even slightly a pain in the arse.

Battlefield 3 is a great game, so much more rewarding than cod. In cod its all about KD. But the best bit in battlefield is winning! Give it a go. Only bad thing about it is useless players that hold back your squad (normally in the form of a kid trying to play a sniper like its cod)

Must be murder if you have a load of Americans in your team. I play Kingdoms of Camelot on my phone and am in an alliance of mainly Anmericans. All they ever do is talk **** to eachother and slag off each others mums. Game itself is pretty good though.

Battlefield is a glorious gaming experience when done right, no game has the same propensity to both be a ball-sweatingly instense hardcore gaming experience, and then ten minutes a later a complete ****-around barrel of laughs. Although as I'm typing this, Counter Strike does too... So only one other game... But you can go from an all-out battle with two teams desperately battling for map-control, to strapping C4 to a jet and dive-bombing mofos in the space of seconds.

I played BF3 on 360 for a few months after launch but none of my useless friends had it and I ended up not renewing my live, and only in a dream world would I have a PC capable of playing it. But many hours were wasted in my childhood on BF2, B2142 and BFBC2. Nostalgia alert. :')

Most fun destructive thing to do on Battlefield is to put tons of C4 on a jeep, drive said jeep at top speed towards a bunch of people, dive out and detonate it.

On Bad Company 2 (*EDIT* The game before Battlefield 3 to any unfamiliar with the series) you had little quadbikes which were a lot more quick and agile than jeeps, there was a certain desert map with a large dune near one of the capture points, helicopters would frequently do low strafing runs and if you timed it right you could Die Hard 4 those bastards with your C4 buggy, I must've spent 5+ hours doing that and done it like three times, t'was glorious nonetheless.

team killing is definitely the best part of playing cod

Just been playing Planetside 2. That's a good game, especially when you get involved in a good squad.

Also, I think people seem to think I'm a girl because my character is called JennyHarper.

It was a sad day when they put limits on team killing.

I remember the good days on CoD4 playing Hardcore Search and Destroy, me and a couple of mates would join a game and have a contest to see who could get the most teamkills, just spawn and pull out your RPG and shoot the floor every round. Sheer douchebaggery on reflection but we found it hilarious.

I wonder how they got that impression?!

I'm fairly confident in saying CoD 4 was my favourite CoD of all-time.

Man, I used to do that. Lowest score wins. The best was, I think, Crash, where one of the spawns was right next to a car. RPG that and 9/10 times you'd wipe the entire team out.

Those pompous, presuming arseholes.

Plenty of guys have characters named after girls (though I don't tell them I'm a guy because it's more amusing that way). JennyHarper is the name of my Harry Potter RPG character as I couldn't think of a name when creating my character.
