3rd bids in & been increased, slightly. Wish we would offer you a fair amount and have it done, rather then pissing around and missing out on Strikers.
It woruld make sense ... rather obvious that 'selling him' is not our preference and incresing a bid by say 100k a time is just a waste of everyone's time ... should be "here's our final bid" ... yea or nay ...
If they have bid again it will be another pathetic bid around 2M. It will be treated the same as the first 2 I find it funny that they think 2M is alot of money
It's above the going rate for a Championship keeper in the last year of his contract. Though it's chicken feed compared to what we're allegedly about to pay for Rhodes, which I'm still have trouble accepting is true.
Wouldn't surprised me OLM Why bother with the extra 49p? Jordan Rhodes eh? How much is that offer? Didn't Blackburn buy him for £8m!?
I just can't see it at all, but some people who are generally quite reliable are saying it's definitely on the cards(£7m being quoted).
Two things 1. Are you the chairman of Leicester as you seem to know everything ? 2.How do you know it's only been increased to two million , come on admit proud your having sleepless nights at the thought of a bid being accepted !
He might well be playing in the Championship, but he's hardly a Championship standard goalkeeper. That's like saying the going rate for a Championship striker is about 2/3m so why are you paying 7m for Rhodes? Because his quality demands that price.
Strikers cost more than keepers, Rhodes has four years to run on his deal and cost Blackburn £8m, he's obviously going to cost a lot more than Schmeichel who's entering his last year. As I keep saying, if you don't want to sell him, then fine, keep him, there's plenty of other options, several of which I think are better options for us. I also think there's better options than Rhodes, I think Austin at £4m is far better value, though it would be rather nice if we got both.
You're missing my point. You don't pay a certain amount for a player because he's "a championship goalkeeper" or "entering the last year of his contract". You pay whatever it takes for the other club to accept. In Schmeichel's case, it's more than this "going rate" you've pulled out of your arse. Don't want to pay the amount we will need to sell? Tough, you'll have to look elsewhere. Just ecause Joe Bloggs went for 2m last season doesn't mean we'll have to accept small time bids like that.
As I said, if your lot aren't happy with the bid, then they can refuse it and as long as Kasper doesn't put in a transfer request, then you'll have him for at least another year. Maybe we take Schwazer on a free this season and Kasper on a free next season. Maybe Kasper will sign a new deal with you, none of us know for sure what will happen and I'm not particularly fussed either way.
... never rated Bloggs myself ... went missing in a lot of games (in fact, I don't think I ever saw him) ... still, we did bloody well to get £2million for him ... fair play..
