If Benteke moves on and it looks like Bent will go too then villa could really struggle next season. Several of their young players, Joe Bennett and Nathan Baker spring to mind, aren't good enough for the league. If i was Weimann I'd definitely want to consider my options before singing on to stay. That said I don't think we will be much more stable an option than villa, despite the table looking far better for us. I'd like him but doubt we offer anything different. A move somewhere like Newcastle could be good for him.
Apparently Atiba Hutchinson is letting his contract run down so he can move on a free to the premier league this summer... Primarily a full back and equally good on both sides, so I wonder if he could be a good option for our Left Back vacancy? (can also play anywhere across th midfield). Currently at PSV, I assume he has played Champions League and Europa League for them and previous clubs FC Copenhagen and Helsingborgs. That kind of experience on a free wld in my view be a good move (altho I probably said the same about Tomas Helveg!)
Hmm, at 30 he's not actually as old as I was expecting, and Helveg must surely have been older? He's played 6 Europa league games this season. And actually 2 goals and 6 assists from RB in 33 league games isn't bad going either, it suggests he'd offer more going forwards than Garrido.
To be honest, were we really after him in the 1st place cos personally I don't think we were. It was just some random BS made up just cos his name rhymed with RvW. If he goes there then that will bugger his career up
Joe Bennett was absolutely shocking on the two occasions he played us, in fact he was very lucky not to get sent off in the second game too.
I see Danny Rose has been returned to Spurs from his loan at Sunderland. Was a good player in a pile of crap up at Sunderland last season. What do you guys think? also, did anyone see the Scottish cup final? Hooper did look good, scored 2 and the first one was a well taken difficult to convert goal.
Surely they wouldnt be able to pay us much in the way of a fee? They may have enquired but I dont see this happening.
I cant even see him going to be honest, we know how he feels about his personal life and especially his kids education, I cant see him moving round the other side of the world even if an approach was accepted!
According to the guardian, we've rejected a 2mil bid from that oz club. Also says, villa, Sunderland and hull are interested.
