We've actually established a bit of a twitter clique, ganging up on doom-mongers! I'm glad to see Supers back to be honest - I enjoy how deeply he thinks about things!
Don't wish to reopen this particular can of worms but yes, standard officers were in attendance before firearms officers. They appear to have been advised not to engage - there were at least two knives and a revolver in play. It also seems that one of the perps tried to fire the revolver and blew off his own finger.
