So you agree that they should be allowed to commit murder on our streets? Keep using the button, it suits me just fine!
In Woolwich, the EDL have turned up, got drunk, had a sing-song, taken over the town centre, caused riots and a man's been arrested for possession of a knife and arson after trying to set a Mosque on fire... In Liverpool, INNUENDO's just been to Kimo's and got a chicken and donner, mixed kebab with salad and a coke. The Islamic gentleman who served me made my Naan bread from scratch in front of me, he slightly over-cooked it and the edges were a bit dark and crispy, he looked genuinely gutted with himself and offered to make me a new one. I however, like my Naan bread a bit burnt and crunchy so I thanked him, gave him a tip, shook his hand and bid him farewell... Now let me tell you how the two stories intertwine nicely in a web of fascism and hatred... Apparently, according to the BBC, Sky News, various politicians and thousands of closet racists on Facebook and Twitter, I should dislike the Asian man who fed me at a reasonable price, based on his religious beliefs just because two ghetto as **** looking black men rocking Stone Island and wielding machetes butchered an innocent British soldier? No thanks, I'll reserve all judgements on individual human beings for their actions and demeanour alone... Some people are so narrow-minded it's unreal... People need to understand anybody can be a psychopath... It doesn't matter what colour or religion you are ANYBODY can be a complete nutter reeking havoc upon society... Please don't let the acts of madmen divide our country! (stolen from twitter)
Its not worth it Danary and Superman. You won't get through, some people really believe stuff like this. Use the ignore button. I wish it blocked out repeated quotes as well though. And no ILD of course it's not ok for people to be murdered on our streets. But then because of a minority is it ok to go and kill a whole race of people? If you think the answer to this question is yes then you need to have a good long look at yourself.
There is alot of scope for misquoting and misinterpreting what people have said on this thread, so maybe some caution should be exercised before responding to folk. Having said that, I wish the ignore button would automatically delete unthinkning racist comments, but alas we get to see that ****e. Only way forward is to ignore it or not come on the site. Everytime these threads depart from football, unpleasant attitudes abound.
Why the **** do you think I care what you write, believe me I don't care one iota. Do you actually believe most of the ****e you type or are you just thick? Stop judging and insulting peoples views just because you don't agree with it!
you don't have to care what i write. however, i care that some individuals such as yourself are coming across extremely badly by writing things that aren't true about other posters. i doubt you will find a single person on this forum that doesn't condemn the attack yesterday but in many ways, some of the things i've seen posted on here in the last 24 hours are singing from the same hymn sheet as those who committed the attacks in woolwich – you as much as anyone.
I too have tried to keep out of this debate but I must challenge this warped perception of Islam and Muslims. As an oil engineer I have spent over 12 years working in a range of Islamic countries including Brunei, Malaysia and Suadi Arabia. I have always been made welcome, made good local friends (in Kuala Lumpur there was thriving NCFC supporters club based on Malaysian students who had studied at UEA) and in serious discussions they have shared our abhorrence with terrorist violence. I was working on site in Saudi Arabia when the 7/7 terrorist attack took place. Every Saudi colleague came forward to express their condolences for the tragedy and their shame that such a horrific attack had been made in the name of their religion.
well said that man. i wonder what ILD would think if norwich city signed a muslim footballer. i believe zlatan ibrahimovic is a muslim. say we bought him (far fetched i know). would he not support him? would he want him kicked out of the country because of his religion? would he condemn him for an attack by a random nutjob?
More then anything there has been a complete lack of respect for the victim of this barbaric incident, different groups using it for their own political and personal agendas, or your regular run of the mill nutcases broadcasting their conspiracy theories. It's turned more into a religious/racial/political argument which is a shame because we should all allow the security services to do their job and wait for the facts to emerge. In the meantime we should all focus on the poor young man who's life was tragically cut short.
agree, and we should also question why it took nearly half an hour for armed police to show their faces!
Having seen how this thread has developed CT, I wonder if you stand by your reply to my original post. The ignore button is NOT the answer. The issue is not whether one is interested in the topic of a thread or not; it is the potential for damage to our forum "family" (your term). We come from all walks of life, and one would hope we have contributors of all colours, races, and creeds, political persuasions, and so on; we are united by a common interest in football and NCFC in particular. We enjoy our discussions, and the banter between us. And we try to respect each others opinions and discuss what is said, not who is saying it (even then, from time to time, we don't always succeed when the topic is the relatively trivial one of football). If people regard this forum as a place to air their views about anything and everything, however important it is and however controversial their views on it may be, it will soon impossible to focus on the post irrespective of the poster, whatever the topic.
Did normal uniform officers get to the scene before the armed officers arrived? In a built up urban area that type of response time is ridiculous.
Not wishing to add fuel to the fire but Muslims are not the problem per se, it is the extremists from the regions around Pakistan and Afghanistan that are the problem. If you know a little history about Muslims in the region, it was the intolerant element that effectively created a civil war with India following the declaration of home rule as their leader believed Muslims would have no voice in free India, so they created their own country and disputed territories ever since. The modern days radicals stem from these roots, they just have a different agenda but the bottom line appears to be where a Muslim community exists anywhere in the world, they want a Muslim way of life with their own laws and this is where the problems begin. Of course this is just one side of the coin, the other is in retaliation for what they claim the west has done to them, largely with the Israel/Palestine issue where once again the extremists are fighting over territory they want. The problem is, if you give in to the demands, they will want more and will fight to take more - just as they did in India. It is a proven recipe and they use it time and time again in the belief that ultimately they will get what they want, and on it goes. Another example is where I live - Thailand. Thailand is a real peace loving nation but they have troubles in the south of the country with land disputes with Malaysia - guess what kind of nation Malaysia is!
i don't know i'm afraid. i'm going by what was said on the bbc breakfast news this morning. having worked in that area before it is a highly congested area but the response time is not good. this may have been an attack on a sole person but it doesn't bare thinking about the potential for murder on a mass scale
Kick racism out of football (forums) 20-30 minutes for an armed response is quick, I used to work in that area, assessing people for their sutiability for that role. You met some some interesting folk.
