Nothing official so don't get your hopes up, but I'm a bit of twitter geek and loads of people (granted not official journalists) are reporting that he's been sacked and it's due to be announced tomorrow.

It is only twitter so far from gospel, but normally only two or three people will mention it so I'd assume it's bull ****, however i've seen 15-20 different "sources" say that he's gone and it will be announced tomorrow and that's not including Cwarr <laugh>!

Given that I don't follow that many people on there it's unusual that 15-20 would mention the same breaking news so to speak so I actually reckon (as well as hope) that this rumour has some substance.

Bit of a nothing thread to be honest, just thought I'd share!

Don't think so. If you read Twitter, it all kind of starts around 9 hours ago, around the time the Chron/Gazette mentioned this '48 hour review'. Just snowballed, I think - there seems to be nothing tangible on any website of note, and you'd imagine this would be something of a SkySports headline, right?

Unfortunately this is likely an avalanche started by a Cwarr07 snowball tweet. However two tweets offer a little hope when put alongside the growing mountain of 'gone in the mornings'. This one:

indykaila News ‏@indykaila 1h

I can confirm from my earlier update that #NUFC officials held meetings all day regarding #Pardew future via source. Nothing else to add

And one from a young journalist (supposedly) saying how it had been impossible to get anyone from NUFC confirm or deny the rumours.

Do you know Badger on twitter? Is he saying that?

I heard they used the excuse they met to discuss a Carroll which I don't believe

To be fair the guy you've just mentioned is normally spot on with his news, he's yet to confirm anything concrete though. He's beaten the press to loads of exclusives in the past though, rarely gets something wrong.

Its like transfer deadline day. Well, we shall see in the morning, I s'pose.

Only difference being I don't have the day off work tomorrow <laugh>

Not that I'll be taking the next deadline day off anyway. Not that it's a bad thing but I don't think we'll ever sign a player on deadline day under MA & DL as they (rightly in my opinion) don't panic buy just for the sake of getting someone in.

We have to remember that sacking him is the easy part.

True, but I don't see how we can go wrong with the appointment...Benitez, Poyet, Martinez are all pretty much available and all huge improvements on Pardew. You then have Rene Girard, Di Matteo and the long shot of Laudrup all as a secondary short list that are again a massive step up from Pardew.

It's almost the perfect time to be looking for a manager as there are so many top quality ones about, most of which we wouldn't have to pay any compensation for. It just adds to the importance of Pardew needing to go.
