I think the actual design of the shirt is ok. The sponsor looks a bit crap on the shirt though. I don't see how it could have ended up at a charity auction before it got announced though. City or Adidas wouldn't be the careless would they?
I've emailed the club and asked them to verify if it's genuine. I've drawn the colours out of the photo on a design programme and there's a chance that the tag and logo are a bit iffy, but it could just be that they have a high gloss finish that effects the image. If it's genuine, I hope they haven't ordered too many.
well the ebay seller is hardly likely to answer "no, it's not genuine, fair cop gov"! don't think much of it nor the sponsors but in this day and age hardly surprising that a pawnbroker will be successful
If it was genuine wouldn't it have a size in the back of the neck like every shirt does with a special adidas badge?
Instead of asking questions of the seller to prove it's real, put yourself in the position of someone trying to sell a fake one. When you're asked a couple of questions you're not going to hold your hands up and admit it are you, you're going to lie about it. At a guess: "It was an auction at work that we did for (insert random charity)." Who do you work for? "Cash Converters, at their head office, the shirt is one of the samples we were sent to judge the appearanc of and this is the one we chose." At least that's the way I'd go if I wanted to explain having got it in advance of the official release and wanted a convincing story.
Those would sound convincing, and lying via email is much easier than face to face. Of course, if it does turn out to be genuine... well I would not be likely to buy it.
could we have picked a worse sponsor ? a company where people bring their old crap with them and pawn it for a bit of money... surely they were better options !!! i just hope on monday morning the club come out with a statement that the shirt on the internet isnt the final version and the sponsor is wrong.
can we bring back the ford cortina seat cover design shirt with the Pepes sponsor on please. its much better than this!!!!!
The Ebay auction states the seller is in Hertfordshire. I believe the Cash Converters Head Office is at 17 Gentlemens Fields, Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12. So its like we have test sample sent out to Cash Converters for type approval, and maybe a member of staff is trying to cash in. Really looking forward to having Cash Converters as a sponsor, not! Could have been worse, could have have been loansharks4u!!
I really hope that this is fake, but I just can't see it myself. Disappointed in the sponsors more than anything, just doesn't exactly give a great message does it? Just serves to reinforce stereotypes about Hull. It just seems a bit of a boring kit as well, like a training shirt with a badge and sponsor slapped on (maybe that is a chance of it being fake?). Even if we had a great sponsor, it would still be a pretty naff kit.
no soft **** you can see blackmarker lines.you never played with photoshop?bet you **** over fake pr0n too.
Can't believe this to be genuine. Why does this appear on ebay before an Official 'all singing all dancing' launch.
And the reason for calling me a **** is...? The simple answer is no, I have not 'played with photoshop' you - and I confess to borrowing an insult of yours here - soft ****. Why the **** would I? PS: I don't know what the **** "fake pr0n" is, but I highly doubt I've masturbated over it.
That's easy to achieve by increasing the opacity of the layer and monochroming an area of the layer beneath.
OK, thanks for pointing that out in a more civilised manner than the sexually-repressed manic-depressive who provided the last reply to my post.
