I'd take both Coles, both will be on far too much though. Surprised Carlton cole doesn't take fat twats fancy, thought he was his kind of player.

Not sure Carlton would ask too much. Set to be a free agent in the summer. Reckon around £20k-£25k would lure him (worth it if we stick a relegation reduction clause in there)

The only times I ever noticed him prior to this year was when he got sent off. And sent off again. And again.
Regardless of whether it's a yellow or a red, his stats count exactly one card every two games. (39 in 78 for Sunderland)
Oh, and two red cards in one season at Wigan prior to joining Sunderland.

I've been to the Stadium of Light for around half the games this season and if I've learnt anything, it's that Titus Bramble is well underrated and Cattermole is a dirty little ****er who, despite his outstanding record of bookings, still isn't sent off enough.

More talk on raiding Wigan this morning on SSN - Watson, Boyce and Maloney all mentioned. Not too sure about any of them - I wouldn't take Boyce, I think Maloney will go 'bigger'. Fulham/WBA/Stoke maybe? And is Watson REALLY that big of an improvement? I think if we gave Meyler a solid run of games at the top level then he'll show the reason that my old Mackam housemate from Uni told me that we'd got a bargain out of them.

I started to agree with you until the Bramble bit, that just shows you know nothing.

If the dopey twat just stayed on his feet instead of throwing them at the opposition's knees then he might be a good buy...I've never seen a player dish out so many two footed tackles!

Matter of opinion.

Mine's based on 8 or 9 games where I've actually watched him play for 90 minutes with interest.

I'd imagine yours is based on a few seconds footage of MOTD.

You're making a massive assumption there, I've watched Newcastle, Sunderland etc. for years. I've seen all of them live, and if not it's probably the full game. If i were you, I'd stop watching Bramble with so much interest and concentrate on Cattermole. He can actually play abit, in between red cards.

That's fair enough then, but I should probably warn you that telling someone they know nothing is not the best way to start a discussion.

I watched him with interest because he's the butt of so many jokes (moreso than McShane once was) but doesn't seem half as bad as people make out.

And I never said Cattermole was ****, I said that I hope we don't go for him. Meaning that regardless of talent (unless they're really something special) I have no time for players like that.

Everything I've seen of Bramble just adds to the confusion of how he gets signed by premier league clubs every year. He must be doing something right.

He's not THAT bad, it's just that he's prone to hilarious gaffes.
