Glad he thinks so. We wont spend anywhere near that much and we dont have to. Many bargains to be had. Jozy Altidore who has been banging the goals in for fun in the dutch league this season is off to Real Bettis(spain) by all accounts. At the right price he maybe worth another go ?
True, but the Eredivisie is not a terrible league and he's scoring a hell of a lot, 23 goals in 33 appearances this season.
Well one cheaper option is ex.Bolton striker Kevin Davies. Proven at PL level. Worth a one year deal imo. Available on a FAT.
He's 37 next season and only managed six goals in thirty eight games appearances this season, if he's the answer, I'm not sure what the question is.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-is-a-target-for-several-Premier-League-clubs I know this is unlikely, but this would be a statement of intent!! Other than that, Ebanks-Blake (or Emu Banks Blake as Paul Merson once called him) on a free would be a good addition!
The daft ****s spunked £5m too much on Rhodes IMO....still I hope we buy him but not for the amounts touted in the press.
every player I mention to my Dad, he comes up with a reason why we won't sign them - they will cost too much, won't afford the wages etc. Last time we got promoted to the premiership he insisted we wouldn't buy anyone. Before the Cardiff game, when he turned up, he remarked 'I hope this is worth it ! I've seen it all before and we'll get beat !' Oh and he said all season we wouldn't go up, kept going on about it. I have this non stop battle with him, been going on for years !
Sounds exactyl like me and my old man, I think it's a generation thing, they're used to nothing but a kick in the bollocks when it comes to city.
AZ haven't had the best of seasons, so 23 in 33 isn't a bad haul at all, some of them have been bloody brilliant goals as well. But Dutch football is goal crazy, PSV had scored over 100 goals by the 32nd game I think it was.
