Hardly deserved his CL medal, scores a goal in the semi<laugh> Atm Sturridge looks twice the player

he did score a few in the EL but he has been pretty average in the league all year bar 2 games where he played quite well, and lets face it, Rafa is the reason he's improved albeit slightly<ok> Rafa will be going and Torres will be surplus to Jose's requirements if Jose does go back to Chelsea and Torres will go back home I suspect.

Nando will never again hit the heights of his time at Anfield, Liverpool made him one of the best strikers in the world and he threw it away for a plastic dream and got his just desserts

No just desserts, he owed Liverpool noting and didnt do an Owen and go Manu or Everton. He wanted Cl football which Liverpool coudnt provide so he went to Chelsea (not liverpools main rivals) to win something, getting you a load of cash in the process. Maybe if Barca came in for him he would have gone there. Never understood why Liverpool fans boo him after all he did for you.

    Everton fans dont boo Arteta
    Wigan fans dont boo Moses

    Same thing

I had **** all problems with Owen going to United, he didn't leave Liverpool and go to United, he had a few clubs inbetween and also Liverpool didn't want him back when United signed him so can't blame Owen for any of that.

Torres made the worst move of his playing career going to Chelsea but made a good move if he wanted medals he didn't earn and a nice big fat pay day, I hope they keep him warm in his old age

Nothing more than the usual bitter garbage from you here.

He's won FA Cup, CL & EL medals as he was part of the side that delivered them, how the **** can you say that a) he made a career mistake & b ) he didn't earn them?

Shouldn't you not be off somewhere ranting about Foreigners stealing jobs and Arabs outbreeding good old British folk as per your BNP party.

He's for the most part been luggage since he signed for £50m, so unfortunately that makes your bollox just wrong, not so wrong its right, just wrong, but you do like to just disagree, so **** off and troll somewhere else xenophobic turd boy

If Liverpool made sure they were challenging for titles and they were in the CL he would have stayed probably. Players leave to go to bigger clubs all the time. It hurts but who can blame them. When it is all about money that is harder to take (although still understandable imo, id change to a higher paid job) and switching to your main rival is showing no respect to the fans (i.e. Sol Campbell). Torres was great for Liverpool, he terrorised Man Utd. Nearly won you the title. Think he deserves more respect when you play him, thats all. Its no better than Chelseas shameful treatment of Benitez. Liverpool fans should swallow their pride and see Torres was doing what was right for him and that at this period of history (not in general) Chelsea are a step above Liverpool

You clearly know very little about Torres's transfer if you don't know why we boo him.

Tells us he's happy and we still love him (even though he'd been playing quite averagely for the best part of a year), he tells us he's staying. Last minute he wants to **** off to Chelsea which would leave us without a recognised striker. Not only that, but he left calling us a small club and spouting other **** in the media about it - just generally trash talking the club. He left leaving a very bitter taste in our mouths after all the support we'd given him, even during his poor period in his final year.

Liverpool give a fantastic reception to almost any former player or manager, but just not to those who leave us in the disrespectful manor he did.

    You're one strange little man.

Torres has scored 22 goals this season you tit, some passenger. <doh> But don't let little things like facts get in the way of your latest baseless, bitter rant.

BNP? lmao, not that it's any of your business but I've voted Labour all my life, you bonehead <laugh>

  12. At the time, they were very much a main rival! It was at the tail end of the period when we played each other four times a season on a regular basis. Both teams were also flattering to deceive and in need of a rebuild (Chelsea did it quicker because they had money to waste).

I actually agree with Sisu here (<yikes>), Owen had no other options other than going to a lesser club that wouldn't be challenging for anything (ie Stoke). Torres just about had the world (just as he was already sliding) at his feet and could have gone almost anywhere.

However, he gets bored because of the way it was handled. Transfer request at the last minute to force a move to a main rival. Sure you wouldn't be pissed off too?

As for Arteta and Moses, since when have Everton or Wigan been remotely close to be a rival to Arsenal and Chelsea respectively? Nothing like the same! You'll be saying Valencia leaving Wigan to join Man Utd next <doh>

I'd probably keep him. He has got better in his time with us and shows his class in moments. We probably need another top striker to compete for the title though,

  20. Torres got to fifty goals in seventy-two games which works out at a goal every 1.44 games.

Sturridge has eleven in fifteen games so far, that's a goal every 1.36 games.

He is on track to do it but there are another fifty-seven games to play and thirty-nine goals to get yet!
