I could argue why didn't Spurs tire??? And you'd probably reply that they've got a better squad than us with more depth (which I'd agree with) and then the same could/should be said of us and Wigan. We clearly have a stronger squad than them.

Anyhow they're growing in to this game a bit now and playing some half decent stuff in spells.

In quality not depth. They have more first team players in their squad and a better balance.

Spurs are a different league to us. The only similarity is they haven't got enough strikers. But then they have Bales goals to equalise it.

Get in. The mackems will be putting! Nice for you.

One more goal, honestly the mackem lad who works for me, won't turn in. I just rang him to have a quick chat, phone is off <laugh>

He will be regretting all the gloating after the derby and Liverpool game. He should know better. He immediately got a kick up the arse with Villa and now this. You'd still have to fancy Arsenal of course but it would be funny.

That was no free kick mind!

Never a free kick but cracking strike. I just want the relegation battle to go to the last game. Have a big dislike for Villa so would want them or the Mackems to go down.

My 6-1 is looking dodgy. I did want to bet 6-2 but it wasn't an option. Damn VC and his sensible scores!

Arsenal fans are not happy, completely gone off the boil. Stopped giving it Cazorla and stopped playing as a result. Wigan are putting it all on the line.

They are just teasing me now. 20mins. 2 needed.....................

Imagine if its 6-2 though and Victor has screwed me by not offering odds!!!!!!!!!!!

personally i think we should keep him

gotta stop sacking managers every five minutes.
Pardew's record at NUFC:

took over and kept stable, mid table finish
took us to within a whisker of the champs league
had a tiny, injury-stricken squad and took us to europa league QF, but also nearly relegated.

Moyes finished in 17th once and all the Everton fans screamed for his head.
They kept him and the players realised he was the boss, regardless.
We should do the same.

I agree, people are forgetting too quickly what we did last season. We had a shocker this year, but there were lots of factors in that not just Pardew. Give him the start of next season at least.

I want some stability for once.

Ah yes, Moyes and his 11 glorious trophiless years at Everton. I wouldn't use that as a benchmark for a good manager, even if the media keep bleating on about it

I'm more interested in the quality of squad Moyes took to 17th vs the quality of squad Pardew nearly got relegated...

Are we talking about the quality in their feet, or the quality of their character though? Good footballing talent is great but its nothing without leadership and strength of character. We had one, they had a bit of both.

Moyes had a far more balanced squad to pick from too.

Last but not least, the competition is way fiercer now than it was then in terms of how quality was spread around.

So what you're saying is Moyes made more astute signings because he bought players with character as well as talent...

Meaning it's just another area of failure for Pardew.

Unfortunately he did not buy many of them, Walter Smith did

Stubbs, Weir, Ferguson, Gravesen, Campbell. Unsworth I believe preceded both.

I think he may signed Martyn though.

It was worth a go to have a roundabout pop at Pards. Bit clutchy at straws though.

I do think signings under Pardew have lacked character though. Obviously he wanted to retain Nolan, Carroll and Barton. He also fought hard to keep Colo and Ba. So I think he does recognise what elements you also need in team make up. Unfortunately it is often taken out his hands i.e. Carroll - money couldn't be turned down as it was insane, Nolan likewise and they wanted him off the wage bill and if he wanted Cabaye had to go, Barton - Joey is Joey, Ba - had a release clause.
