Wigan's win backs the point I made earlier in the season - get to the Prem before worry about silverware. Even the small Prem clubs (Wigan, Pompey, Swansea) are in with a shout because of the quality of players you can attract there.

Not sure where the rumours about Mancini originated but if there's any truth in them, then they could have had a big impact on that result. This is why the local media, fans and board should support their manager all the way rather than assuming they know the final outcome before it happens. Football is very unpredictable.

Those Man City fans that thought the FA Cup wasn't enough - well now you have nothing. Enjoy.

One kick away from playing Palace in the final.

And I would have fancied our chances against the stripey Nigel's.

Watford were always the toughest hurdle, especially over two legs. That said, anyone could have beat anyone. Brighton, the form team, were poor over both legs.

EDIT: Also noticed the curse of fourth place has struck again. Let's never finish there.

Nigel wont be pleased

He has refused to speak to Stringer for weeks now

And thats not for the first time
I assumed he sends out Shakey when we win, the only blip to that theory is the Watford game, maybe he didnt want to do interviews after a defeat like that, i would think the Sky interview would be a mandatory one though.

Fergie used to refuse to speak with the BBC and he got fined every year for it. The manager has to speak to the media as part of the rules under the Premier League and Football League. Obviously some weeks they can send their assistant

Quite alot of "scapegoats" in that list

Actually that's pretty appalling if you analyse it ... 12 seasons and the top man only has 61, half of which were scored in a League 1 campaign. Ignoring those that only played a handful of games the most impressive stat has to be Andy King finishing second from midfield.
