Remember to look up at the scoreboard at the right time to get the secret message. Someone will also whisper... go the distance, in your ear at some point. Oh, my mistake, you're not at Fenway Park.
Why is that game irrelevant? If stoke beat us and Wigan win the next two, and whose to say they won't, Sunderland or us will go down
We are safe and can forward t o next season. We will have a stronger side then for sure and Mauricio will have a full season. We perhaps should have got more points recently but have pulled it out of the nat when we have had to. Am off to Spain tomorrow and can go with a light heart. Enjoy the stoke game.
Go grab a calculator. The only way we can be relegated is if Villa draw with Wigan on the last day, with Wigan having beaten Arsenal and us losing to Stoke with a 12 goal swing. That means us losing 6 nil and Wigan beating Arsenal 6 nil ..... what do you think? Oh and add to that Sunderland drawing with Spurs (which may happen) Chill out fella; we are safe.
Stoke have to beat us at least 13-0 for us to go below Villa on goal difference... We're above Villa on GD right now and Wigan's last game is again Villa. Wigan must beat Arsenal and Villa to go above us. Meaning Villa lose further goal difference. We can't go down.
Wigan have to beat Arsenal away and Villa at home. Villa are on the same points as us but are 11 goals worse off. So if Wigan go above us, Villa stay below us, even if we lose to Stoke, unless we lose by at least 12 goals, which won't happen. WE ARE SAFE
I was reffering to the game, not our safety, when i said we should win games like that. You know, games we dominate, create all of the chances and concede a goal to an aging ****e RB from a deflection. WE HAVE TO WIN GAMES LIKE THIS, if we want to progress as all of you tell me will. I thought 39 points would keep you safe when we acheived it, and I think it will now, cannot see Wigan winning both. We dominated possession and chances, yet you tell me this a point won? This game is almost as frustrating as the Swansea game at home, where we should have won it, easily.
Come on Ashby Saint.... let's see a big Smilie posted by "Sorry chaps, I have worked it out now... I was just getting my knickers in a twist and panicing becasue I have supported Saints for years and I know things go wrong all the time"
RLSGM, you are probably correct, but come on ... we are safe. That was our aim and we have done it. Let's relax now and leave our Argentinian and Italian friends to go and do the business once that window opens and get us ready to correct these things come August.
