Fellaini wasn't staying with Everton beyond this summer regardless of all this, he made rumblings to move to a CL club by not extending his current deal last year.

both would be good additions to the squad no question but I wouldn't be surprised if Moyes left his old club and not raid them due to the respect he has for them.

Odds are excellent the Moyes term will go something like this:

first year or three: probable league title or two from inertia

next year or three: lack of success leads to widespread grumbling.

next millisecond: big name takes over.

And, really, this has nothing to do with Moyes. He could be the greatest manager in the history of the world and this would still be likely to happen to a manager following someone as successful as Fergie.

0-0 at half time between Palace and Brighton in the play offs. Both managers showing signs of stress on the touchline.

Palace going up might see Palace shirts on sale in central Croydon for a change.

    I said "might"...

I don't want Watford because their abuse of the loan system stinks.

I don't want Leicester because when I have watched them on TV, they have always looked crap.

I don't want Brighton because I think Gus Poyet is a tool.

    Guess that leaves Palace.

    Palace.

In administration not so long ago, now they have good owners, own the ground (i think) and have the shirts made by a fans company (i think) so are looking up. Suffered losing their ok but inexperienced manager early in the season, which has actualy turned out well, and have repeatedly has their best players nicked:

Zaha, Routledge, Clyne, Moses, bostock, that ginger guy at wigan etc.

They were my local team growing up, and i've been to see them countless times.

Plus, Yannick Bolasie has unbelievable tekkers.

It's going to be difficult now for Palace. That's a good result for Brighton tonight.

Indeed. Palace have not been good away, Brighton have been great at home since they moved into their shiny new stadium.

As much of a muppet as you think Gus is, he has taken them from League 1 to the verge of prem football, and has made some shrewd signings in Kuzchek, Bridge and upson.

I've no sympathy for any side that plays for a 0-0 in the 1st leg of a playoff (at home). Can't see how either Watford or Palace can realistically get through now.

Chelsea were tired, they'd played at Old Trafford days before and played far more games than anyone else in the division.

As for Palace I thought they were pathetic tonight. I really thought they'd come out the blocks but Brighton bossed it for large periods and looked the only side interested in winning. It was a very poor game and I thought both sides were happy with a draw.

Holloway's pre-match interview suggested he's given up before the tie had started and that attitude seemed to be reflected in Palace's play.

Sports Direct has MUPLC, Chelsea and Barca - and staff so useless I tend to just grab a box of shoes I want and head to the till rather than wait for them to finish texting their mates...
