Have never liked Man U and never will, but his record speaks for its self. A friend and I were commenting today about this and for me the thing that separates Ferguson from other managers is his intensity and that no player or manager is bigger than the club. The club comes first period. He will do anything to make Man U the best and he has pretty much achieved his goal. But then again what would he have done with a "smaller team" without all the millions to spend.

Honestly I'll be shocked if they stay up. Considering what Arsenal still have to play for, I think they'll do a number on Wigan. Sunderland could well lose both of their remaining games, but because of their far superior goal difference Wigan will need 4 points to catch them. Norwich and Newcastle couldn't ask for much better games than the ones they've got coming up next - neither QPR nor West Brom have anything to play for. It's a real stretch.

Newcastle and Norwich are also woefully out of form.

Ah but form's out of the window now, as it is at the end of every season. They need it more and they'll put everything into it. Gung-ho time.

True but you could also say QPR and West Brom will play with freedom which could make them more dangerous. Look at the West Brom that turned up at St Mary's.

Biggest compliment to Fergusson is that his biggest pride was the community spirit he learned in Govan.

Just wonder how much patience any following manager will get, certainly not six seasons to win a title. But maybe a more open Premier League next year with Man City and Chelsea likely to strengthen.

I am sure Nicola sees this as our chance... ;)

Don't like Ferguson because of his whining about mistreatment from officials etc, but I agree it is always about ManU. It is never personal aggrandizement (as it is with Mourinho).

A smaller club like Aberdeen? He may have achieved things there too...

You sure? They definitely have limited resources, but I don't think all of their signings have been particularly good. Koné is probably their best, but I can't say much for the likes of Crusat, Henriquez, Jordi Gómez, Roger Espinoza. They've been a bit wasteful in the transfer market if you ask me.

What about the £6m spend on the Argentian striker who doesn't play and is on loan somewhere?

Just switched on SSN for the first time in a few days, and my god, it's like watching flipping MUTV ... nothing else seems to be reported right now.

The media really are loving this, it's like nothing else exists to them right now.

United just confirmed Moyes as manager on their Facebook page. Oopsie.

Someone in their media department is likely to be getting a bollocking right now.
