What does the length of the contract mean in football anymore? There will be a clause in the contract for United to end it early without paying 6 years compensation, much like in Pardew's If he finishes outside the champions league spots next season, he'll be a gonner.
Good to see a manager going up the ranks a bit like Adkins did until we unceremoniously got rid of him. However, I cannot imagine Moyes being given six years to win the title, not so much patience these days...
The whole Moyes selection, the way it's been done and the six year deal has, begrudgingly, given me some admiration of United; I don't like myself.
There is already a Moyes out campaign...though it may be a vociferous few rather than a large number. I suspect most fans are underwhelmed but hoping for the best. One thing they are comparing is his lack of success with Everton compared with Fergie's at ManU...he was hardly going to win titles at Everton was he? I have my doubts, but give the guy a chance.
