Agree. Scoring a few offside goals and penalties when the season was all but done doesn't necessarily mean he should have pipped Bale to the award.

Either player would be a worthy winner. Rio has a point in that RvP shone in the early part of the season when Bale didn't. Bale was the outstanding player at the time the players voted and that was bound to give him the edge.

That's not what he's saying. He thinks that van Persie has been better than Bale since the voting.

  9. Huh? I think you misread what I wrote, DL.

I'm saying that you'll get Moyes and United will get Mourhino. Go back and read what I wrote.

"I'm not being biased" No, course not Rio. The fact that you both play for the same team is mere coincidence <doh>

I read it HIAG. Moyes to United is done. Mourinho to Chelsea agreed in principle.

Rio's right; With modern technology, voting at the end of the season is as easy as turning up to a drugs test.... <whistle>

  14. Ah, my bad.

Well, nothing has officially been announced, yet.

If Moyes is appointed I will be gob-smacked. How on earth does anyone see him succeeding, there? It will divide the fan-base, and seriously damage share-pricing.

But, let's wait for the official announcement.

I believe The Times is reporting that Real are demanding £25mil to release Mourinho. At the moment Uncle Roman is refusing to pay it.

  20. The financial aspect of Mourinhos relationship with Chelsea is key here. Not only is there a contract release figure from RM of between €25-35m, but Abramovic has already paid out much the same to Mourinho when he terminated his contract.

That's a helluva lot of money to lash out to get your club back to where you were 4 years ago!!!!
