OK how old are you guys? I was out last night and heard the headlines. My first reaction was "if you swim with sharks, why grumble when they bite you". This morning nearly 10am and I'm still thinking that. Some of you guys have such a short memory - do you remember the "loads of money" attitude shared by so many of you. The "we've ONLY signed 10 players to get us back to where we BELONG "The Premiership"". Streuth can we get one or two things straight, there are only a few clubs who "belong" in the top flight of English football - and I've seen all of them (except Arsenal) in the 2nd division. The more mature members of your board will note I have been saying that QPR's ticket prices have been too high for a while (bearing in mind the quality on offer at the Loft), and that there was an expected 40% hike in Season Ticket prices this summer. So right now what I must not do is say "told you so" whilst your roller coaster ride is on a downward spiral. The board of Directors at your club are wealthy yet have loaded the club with debt (£35m in last 2 years), so they're not spending their own money whilst some of them are also drawing generous salaries from the club - and don't forget they will pay themselves promotion bonuses. These bonuses will be £ms, and all for what? Who got them promoted? I thought it was Colin who coached the team for 46 games etc. What next? Protests and petitions ....... I'm not sure quite what this might achieve - Flavio Briatore, he was said to have left QPR after his scandal in F1 racing, so I'm not sure what difference this will make. All in all I would say "what goes around comes around", the characters involved at QPR are widely acknowledged to be "sharks in their respective fields" and they are now starting to show their colours. Why do we think these people ever wanted to be involved in QPR? Obviously to make money but how much? It's not as if another £million is going to help Bernie Ecclestone's fortune?
Have signed. Thanks for setting up Rollercoaster. We need to make sure that EVERY true Rs fan signs this. It takes two minutes, and if you really care about the club there is no excuse not to sign. I'm so angry.
By the way All, I've now posted the link to the online petition to both the BBC 606 site plus the ja606 site (although I reckon that there are only about 3 people who use that site). Anyway, hopefully that should help to get more fans signed up.
signed - thanks for organising this......what a joke this situation is, unfortunately not a very funny one.
signed. 100 now. need to get into the thousands. lets try and get the LSA, Independent R's, LFW etc people to sign
Thanks Kaspers. We are up to 121 now. Thank you all for signing, and thanks to those who have tweeted and facebooked the link. Has anyone got a sign up for "We are the Rangers Boys"? They have mentioned starting a petition, and have put a few names on a thread. If no one has, I'll sign up to let them know.
Done only coz I dont like seeing real fans getting shafted! Best of luck with this one fellas! again I suggest you only do the away games ! and give the corporate numpties something to think about!
Northolt - Outrageous price increase that will drive the real fans who have been there through thick and thin out and allow the plastics that can afford Premshite football in. You will now see:- - Increased traffic and queues - Takes ages to get a beer - Some new Nigel sitting behind you moaning that you are not playing like Arsenal - **** food being sold - fancy a nice lentil burger or humus bagel? - But worst of all - sarky comments from that twat Linneker on MOTD when they show you for the last 30 seconds before the goal of the month competition If it was not for the money, I would never want to go back there ever again... Best of luck making your voice heard - but I fear the people you have there now just don't give a ****e...
