I thought Everton thoroughly deserved their point and their clean sheet. Jagielka and Sylvan Distin were outstanding. Probably the best result for us, although none of the permutations were ideal for us.
...which, coincidentally, meant I had to cancel social plans tomorrow night - the combination of Thatcher's funeral and a Chelsea game put paid to any hope of public transport not being an arse.
Can we sign Fellaini in the summer, please? The sight of him and Sandro lining up in the middle would scare most teams out of the game.
Got to say the player that impressed me the most just like he did at the Lane was Kevin Melleras. That guy is top quality, his touch and awareness when oppoents are hunting him down for possession was extremely impressive and U applaud him for a great performance deftintley my man of the match.
True, there was a lot of sloppy passing ahead of them but they all put in a shift. Jelavic and Anichebe put on a good Dempsey and Ade impression on the negative side.
More dropped points for the Gooners, against quality opposition. Crikey how many points have they gained this season against the top six now ? there only win in fact was against us with us down to just 10 players.
Some wanted us to sign Jelavic, looks like it was just a JD-like hot streak, he's been quiet this season, can't even keep Anichebe out of the side atm.
The Goons could do with a top quality finisher in these kind of games...someone like Robin Van Persie.
I agree about Mirallas, though Cazorla probably would have been the outstanding player if he would have played where he should have played. I guess Wenger feels he has to play Wilshere in the center. I wouldn't be too happy about that if I were Cazorla, or for that matter anyone else on the team.
Let's not talk about teams that lack a top quality finisher!....if we had one, I doubt we'd be so concerned about the Goons at the moment.
I'm just as guilty as anybody criticizing our lack of goal scoring ability yet we score two against Everton and Arsenal score none. Yet we leak two and Arsenal leak none. So it's honours even. I thought Everton would win and a draw is what some said was the best result for us which was right, well done to those who predicted a draw. City play tonight against Wigan,a match I'll be watching closely. We will hopefully have had a good rest before meeting City who I hope will be feeling jaded after three matches in eight days or close. Come on Spurs get back to winning ways.
