Cheers Pal. A bets a bet. I really thought they were gonna get out of it. Especially when they beat Chelsea but they have messed up four "must win" games in a row and quite frankly don't deserve to stay up.

The fat lady is clearing her throat for Harry though (ooh, er, missus). And that alone is enough to make this a very, very good day.

Any amusing links to Harry having a breakdown anyone?

What odds on him declaring that his heart wasn't really in it when he leaves at the end of the season?

I'm going down the "Damage was already done we I came, needed a miracle to turn it around" route.

Maybe, at a push, he might say "Some of the players here care so little for the cause, God wouldn't have kept this bunch up. I've tried harder than anyone could ever have".

He seems to have problems motivating his teams sometimes - noticeably when he has a squad with an uneasy mix of mercenaries and just-average players, as happened when he escorted Saints out of the EPL and this season.

" You came in Harry,
When it was snowing,
Now it's warmer,
Glad you're going!"

No one is now considering us for the drop...it's only our awful start that is keeping us at a lowly 11th :) And we should remember that we have stayed above the relegation zone once we pulled out of it (really pleased we could beat the '4 points off the drop' at last)...we've done well for a newly promoted club, now look forward to seeing what we can do with a whole new season in front of us. Mustn't get too complacent as it will still be tough...perhaps DTLW could start a 'where will we finish' thread for 2013/14....surprised he hasn't done it already.

QPR and Reading gone, now going for Stoke to fill the final berth. The Cup may cause Wigan trouble and they have to win those games in hand, but experience may tell here. Sunderland may benefit from the odd good result from the 'di Canio effect'...very wierd management style...glad we escaped.

Regarding Reknapp, it has been amusing noting the change in the tone of his voice in the last two post-match interviews and he seems almost resigned to relegation. I agree that he will probably make a statement that it was a tough ask to keep QPR up and , to be fair, after Hughes's tenure, this is probably not wide of the mark. Curiously, I thought Redknapp would rescue Rangers and the squad he had assembled would probably ended up near the top half of the table had he started in August. Remy is class.

However, I can't see Redknapp staying in the Championship too long and given the abject style of football played by West Ham yesterday, I wonder what the chances are of Alladyce getting the chop and Redknapp returning to the Bolyn Ground at some point?
