Great, England's hopes now lie in the hands of Chelski.

Again. (Saying that, it went alright last time ;))

Basel look a very good outfit. Won't be surprised if they get to the final.

To be fair, Spurs should've been eliminated before the shootout. Basel were all over them for extra time.

Basel deserved it, can't deny that.

Vertonghen's red was the key point - if Spurs had gone into ET with all 11 men, they wouldve been favorites.

Theres no jealously, if i'm watching a team that I have no affiliation with I have to find it exciting, otherwise what's the point? I've got zero interest in seeing teams win other than City, anyone else I want to see good football.

Most of their results are by the odd goal, if they actually played with a striker up front they might interest me. Ive got no interest in seeing 11 mid-fielders play keep ball, when if they actually went for it they could get cricket scores.

agreed, watching City or listening to City (the norm for me) is stressful, other games are enjoyment!

I find watching other English teams in Europe a bit stressful (bar Man Utd), but watching two foreign sides is usually very enjoyable. One good example was probably PSG 2-2 Barca in Paris (it was on at the same time as the Watford match, I recorded it), the match was 94 minutes of end-to-end attacking footie, the last 5 minutes being fantastic...

I'm ****ing loving this. So glad I put money on Bayern...

Just need Dortmund to win and my prediction is complete.

Munich will dominate European football for the next few years, like Barca have been for the previous few.

Bayern stopped Barca playing which is very impressive, although it says a lot about Barca that doing so is regarded as so remarkable. However, if you actually have a bit of perspective, Messi clearly wasn't fit and 2 of Bayern's goals shouldn't have stood, at 2-0 I'd still fancy Barca to win it. Before you mention it, I didn't think either should've been penalties for Bayern.

Furthermore, the Bayern tactic was to kick lumps out of them. Every time Messi got the ball, Martinez & Schweinsteiger just hacked at him. At one point Gomez knew he wouldn't be able to keep up with him so just wiped him clean out. It's a great result for Bayern but I didn't find it a satisfying performance to watch by them.

Just goes to show there's no bleedin point in them officials behind the goal.

How the hell did none of them see the Bayern player deliberately take out the Barca defender when he turned?

Another cock up for FIFA & UEFA.

Yeah Barcelona can whine all they want, they have had more than their fair share of ridiculous decisions go for them over the years.

Bloody hate Barcelona
