    QPR fan in peace...
Needed a few days to get over the game and think about it. I knew it was going to be a hard game without giving away 3 goals. Thought Berba was good and finished well. Atmosphere was good and better than some other club that gets 41K but then they are full of plastics that are on the 'Roman ride'.
Thought Swartzer? save from Bobby was the final deciding factor, if we had scored then I think we could have gone on and won? When sidwell was sent off I knew the game was over.
Anyway good luck for the rest of the season <ok>

Fair assessment Ellers. I agree with you, if Remy had scored his penalty you would've probably gone on to win.

Same to you. I won't lie, it gives me great pleasure to see QPR struggle after the attitudes of some of your fans on here last Summer, but I never want a team to be relegated and if you lot stay up I'll be the first to recognise the feat (and it will be a feat).

I like most QPR fans thought that team was good enough to get 10th but sadly it would seem that we bought a load of rubbish. I blame Hughes for this and if we go down then we need to prepare better for next time. Many want us to go down due to the money we spent but it proves our board are willing to spend. We just need some better football people at the club who know exactly how to spend the money properly.

Cheers ELLERS. No consolation to you but I thought BZ had a good game and couldn't have hit that shot any better. To be honest, I'm not sure why 'Arry took 'The Trabi' off, since from that point on you resorted to long range efforts instead of running at us. That I think was your downfall.

On a wee final point and about the stick that Samba got, especially for our second goal. Not enough credit has been given to the way Duff pounced on him or the way Boswinga (who gave him a poor pass in the first place) just stood and watched.

Agree Duff is a good player and pounced well (even at he's age). I think a few QPR fans thought we would beat you and thought the points were in the bag before the game which I thought was way off mark. Fulham are a strong side and have proved in the past that they are team to beat at home. No animosity towards your club and you get my full respect unlike those muppets up the road. <ok>

Yes, this is true. The VAST MAJORITY of your fans thought FFC would be an easy three points in the bag, and that the Wigan game that followed would be the crunch one, whereas in reality, that 'crunch' match now essentially means little as survival is quickly escaping your grasp. I was reading score predictions on your board as far fetched as 4-1, 3-0 etc, which was hardly the case. Had Dejagah stayed on (Traore was having a mare) I think we would have pumped a few more past old Samba and Cesar.

I don't believe that Hughes is 100% to blame (even though I despise him). He left you with a very good squad, I remember posting on your board some time ago saying I would take 5 of your players, so they are good on paper, this is where both the players and the managers are at fault. Is it a lack of effort from the players or lack of tactical nous/motivational skills from the manager? Arry is not blameless in this. He has failed at QPR, the same way Hughes did. Of course Arry is a better manager than Hughes, so his record is of course better, but you are in the same position. He had more than half a season to turn it around, much like Hodgson did at Fulham, but whereas we bought Hangeland and survived, you bought Samba and...

Quite correct Bandit. When Arry took over QPR were 6 pts adrift with 75 pts to play for. Currently they are 7 pts adrift with 21 to play for and that despite him spending £25m in January.

I watched the game from the middle of a mob at the back of the Hammersmith end, which combined with the pillar in my way meant when I rewatched the game the next day I had missed an alarming amount. Initial thoughts - Dejagah going off completely took away from our attacking impetus. First half, we took our chances well and played well, but in all fairness, asides from their woeful mistakes, and even though they were the inferior side, QPR really weren't too bad. Berbatov just was a class above the rest, and Hangeland and Senderos were both sturdy. The build up to the third goal was fantastic - I was annoyed that it was not picked up on my the media, but the number of passes to make that goal, even though there was a brief Zamora interception in the middle, was truly fantastic. Had it been a Fulham player on the end of it, it would have been one of the best goals I had seen at the cottage for a while. Hangelands back-heel just epitomises the comfort and class with which we played in the first half. Giving away that goal at the time was stupid. Really bloody stupid, and I didn't share the certainty felt by some old chap that we had it in the bag at halftime despite the goal. Second half - that was never a penalty. It also was definitely not a red card. He tried to pull out, and his foot didn't make contact with a shin, rather it went between his two legs and tripped/ flipped him. So much worse has been given as only yellows. Their goal was well taken, yet apart from that, and the penalty, for a team that supposedly 'murdered' 'battered' us, they had few chances. We sat back and let them dominate, but we controlled well, especially after the sending off, that limited them to only a few long range chances. Despite what the media would have you believe, we deserved the three points.

Another interesting point is that, not posting on here much anymore and favouring other sites, I found it great to see a QPR compliment the din we made. Everywhere else I had been told by Rangers fans how little noise we made, and how much they made. Although I was in the middle of the standers at the back of H5, I haven't seen that many people stand for a game, or as much noise be made either, since the Europa campaigns. Moreover, I only heard from the QPR fans, quite honestly, cheering every time they scored, but asides from that singing some song about Jamie Mackie. Up at the back of the Hammersmith end though, the racket really was deafening. Whether the noise is all just lost in the thames or comes back from the roof and doesn't ravel to the Putney end I have no idea, but it was a great showing from the stands, well at least one stand, on Monday night.
