I think with alonso its all about the replacement/ strategy. sure they could hold on for a year or not. it was interesting that ballague came out with what he did... I really doubt Barca would let go one of their biggest prospects, atleast not without a buy back clause included, which would pretty much make the deal l like a loan. I'd rather have Eriksen.
He is brilliant. He deserves more than a bit part role. He's probably earmarked as Xavi's long term replacement though so I can't see him leaving anytime soon. Possibly on loan or a transfer with a buy back clause, as Micah says.
