Remember when we were linked in the summer with Burak Yilmaz and didn't go for it?...........................

 

Jackson Martinez too, it would be nice to have them two on board.

 

jackson for the pace ( was what like 6 million?) Yilmaz was around 8. Poacher and pace, wht could have been.

 

It is really annoying that we spent £25m on Allen and Borini, both have not improved the team at all - although they can contribute in the future.

It's a lot of money wasted IMO - however, Rodgers did a very good job in the January window.

Jackson Martinez would have been a very good shout - I think he's on par with Falcao's record at Porto?

 

£25m for Eriksen and Alonso this summer will do me.

... Jeffren Suarez. Luis would probably call him "negrito Suarez" and get himself banned again though.

 

I doubt they would do you... think both are hetero... and if not they could do better...

 

The difference in quality for the same price is astounding!

For all of our possession, I still feel that we struggle to create enough clear cut chances. If Suarez doesn't create anything, then we're buggered. Luckily, Coutinho has come in and stepped up to the plate as another creative force.

now wages:

280k per week for 3 players? something like that?

carroll out at say god 10 mil and 90k per week saved.... skertl out at 10mil and whatever he's paid o na new deal.. 60k? 70k? sell shelvey for 4mil to stoke.... thats still 4mil short of the money needed if we have 20mil budget before sales... plus another 100k per week in wages to boot.

can't see it all happening.

Alonso isn't renewing his contract with Real, and will have a year left on it following this season.

Would they sell him at all? They don't need the money and might just do what we did with Berb - keep him as he's more valuable to the club playing the last season than being sold for a few mill.

 

it depends on a lot of things with madrid.

new manager coming, new president, his age, whos next in line.

madrid are the types to extract maximum value though.. .see morientes amongst others (owen or even woodgate)

 

Don't think the contract matters. They don't need the cash they would probably rather lose Xabi for nothing and get another season out of him than sell him on the cheap.

 

If he wanted to leave they might want to sell him. Its not often you will see a big club keep a player against his will in this day and age.

 

Alonso has said he will not sign another Madrid contract,and I also I believe they are happy to let him go in the summer

Alonso wont play for Real next season, whether he will be at Liverpool is another mattter

 

I have it on good authority that we will be signing Dede, Alonso, Eriksen AND Neymar in July, with just Williams joining in August
