Already sacked. He said after the game he'd go to the Championship.

Staggering decision even though it was expected. Just cannot believe abramovich learnt nothing from sacking mourinho. Ancelotti won chelsea their first ever double in his first season, they've had a shocking run of form (which is partly down to him being made to find space for abramovichs latest fancy signing).

I'm not surprised at all, but who's going to queue up for the Chelsea job when you get sacked for only managing second in the league?

the chelsea owner doesnt muck around does he. its either premier league title every season or your out... how can you build good foundations like that ? Fergie's first few seasons at man-u wasnt amazing and he was almost fired, but they stuck with him... look what happened. surely a manager like ancelotti deserves another season or 2 to see what he's made of.

If he'd have stuck with Mourinho, he'd have won a couple of things by now.

You genuinely feel for him too because he's been very poorly treated yet he's one of the most successful managers on the continent. Apparently he was told on the team coach

mourinho is the only man with the confidence/arrogance to go back and take the challenge of only winning a double will do <laugh>

me, I take the job, get sacked, get huge pay off and be very happy.

Meanwhile look at Avram Grant, took over from Mourinho, got Chelsea to the Champions League Final and still got the boot. Apparently Roman wants nothing but victory or the manager get its and lets face it the players let Chelsea down. So in all seriousness who would be stupid enough to take the job

this is the reason why I hate chelsea so much, becuase of people like Roman. I hated the fact that they got rid of Ranieri a couple of years back even though he had got them their highest place in the premier league (at the time). I mean look at the managers they've had since Ranieri - Mourinho (probably the 2nd/3rd manager currently behind Ferguson and tied with Guardiola), Grant (well I dont rate toadface), Luiz Felipe Scolari (A World Cup winner for christ sake). As soon as Roman goes, the better I say

Phil Brown with Duffen as chancellor. Watch Abramovich's fortune disappear in 1 year. The 50 million on Torres will seem like a bargain.

If Abramovich had any sense he'd interview Martin O'Neil.. If it were me I'd give him a 4 year contract & say build me a winning team and he would. I'd also keep out of his way and MON would want that in blood which you've got to respect. But that's not what Roman's likely to do as he thinks money can buy success. It can get you so far what it doesn't get you is consistency and a real team spirit. It's all now, now, now. When will these billionaires get it? They won't IF they've had it easy in life. If you've done it the hard way and put a shift in and struggled, then he'll understand. The Allams are streets ahead in this department. Dave Whelan too, he's stuck with managers.

How many Champions leagues is that now Abramovich you impatient t**t? You don't deserve any.

ME!!!!! I will try hard, but fail miserably, in anyone's book, and will go quietly for, say, £5 million, but I would retire gracefully from management then!!!!!

It's going to be a management team of Frank Rijkaard and Guus Hiddink, allegedly.
