I quite like Vermaelen, on his day he can be a top player and he has a powerful shot but his positional sense as a defender is shocking. I remember when he first started out for us in 2009/10, he scored some real beauties. However on the flip side, I remember him being roasted by Drogba and co. when we lost 3-0 at the Emirates that season. He looked totally exposed as they strolled through our defence again and again.

 

Gossip says we're after Michel Vorm. Would be a good purchase, though I'd prefer Begovic - who is also 4 years younger at 25.

 

No thanks on Vorm, not imposing enough. Begovic would also be my choice.

 

True, but it's clear he has 'World Class' ability.

I think he's just the type of player Wenger gets the best out of.

The wigan move has been rubbish for Ryo, he wasn't getting game time then struggled with injuries all season. I have high hopes for miyaichi so i want to see him going to a prem club where he will def get game time next season!

 

It's been a truly miserable loan spell for Ryo. He got his chance against Everton in the cup, but he was taken out by Mirallas and is now out for the season.

Would take him in a heart beat. Guy is a great talent, but has struggled to fit into the Barca system which is all about Messi. Anyone that plays in the forward line has to do the donkey work for Messi. Sanchez would be great for us.

 

Basically these writers read forums and Twitter to see what fans talk about, then print stories along the lines of 'Arsenal want..X player' or 'Y player is unpopular at the Emirates' etc etc. Total bull mostly
