Shearers is falling way behind The Brothel now for the number of posts made, who'd have thought it?

I know. We need to get the numbers up on here but seems to be more whoring than debate nowadays.

How about a temporary ban on rep?

All the out of towners just know about the Brothel and only come for rep, not to talk football. It's just a case of them all saying rep, rep, rep.

To be fair, I like the idea of 'Out of Towners' (to use your expression) visiting the board, I think it's quite a compliment that other forum users think we're a friendly bunch, lets hope they join in football debate more.
I still remember how busy our Match day Threads used to be, even neutrals used to visit, the craic was excellent!

Match Day Threads are some of the best.

The problem is, the most dedicated fans are AT the games, so it tends to be the long distance visitors who log in.

I'll take a laptop and report from the games while everybody around me is doing the pogo.

AB do you also have a job? Just wondering how you manage to patrol the board so much.

Or is it like the Matrix with you plugged into Not606 24/7?

Who needs another job when I get £50k a year for doing this, I'm not greedy.

Oops, I wasn't supposed to mention the £50k.

Newcastle Target Remy Now Admits QPR Wages Were ‘Interesting’ (from THE MAG)

Despite the eventual capture of long-time target Mathieu Debuchy, Newcastle’s January transfer window got off to a disastrous start when Ba’s replacement, Loic Remy, chose to sign for QPR instead of finalising his deal at St.James’ Park.

At the time the player was insistent that money hadn’t played a part and it was all about the ‘interesting project’ at Loftus Road, this to a backdrop of wide acceptance that Remy had signed up to £100,000 a week AND a rumoured get out clause of leaving for nothing if Rangers are relegated, the same as happened with Demba Ba at West Ham.

Now however, in an interview back in his native France with beINSPORT, Remy has responded to criticism of his choice of club in terms of footballing ambition and potential harm to his international chances;

“It did surprise many people but it is still London.

The level of wages, that was also interesting…

This move may be a hindrance to my international career, however I don’t see things like that!”.

While he seems a decent player based on the clips I’ve seen of him for QPR, the way he handled himself in the transfer dealings and his comment now, lead me to think his character may not have been right for Newcastle.

It is all about priorities and the boxes ticked for Remy were money and the attractions of living in London, a lucky escape for Newcastle United if you ask me.

Agree with the Remy thing, if it's the bright lights of London and the money that attracted him, he isn't the kind of player we want here.

Yeah, we don't want the mercenaries who just want to take the club for money and not for love. Not welcome around here! We're about pride, passion, and WANTING that black and white shirt, even if it means doing it for nothing! Isn't that right AB.
