But they wernt racist terms were they, if I wanted to be racist I could have come out with far worse. Ok maybe bamboo coons was slightly borderline, but it's getting a massive over reaction on here and is getting exaggerated to the point mountains are being made from molehills.

I was specifically aiming for a 'them and us' feel to my post to add dimension to my opinion that it's wrong to change a clubs tradition and history in its homeland to suit people who live thousands of miles away and have absolutely no relevance at all. The people of Cardiff are the clubs support, they're the people who buy the tickets and cheer on the team home and away, those are the people the ownership should be trying to keep happy as they are the club and what footballs all about. Not some Malaysians on the other side of the globe who will surely lose interest once their native owners move on and their franchise is owned by a different nationality.

I think 'yellow skin' and 'bamboo coons' both overstepped (can't imagine hearing them on the BBC), but if you tell me/us that was unintentional and you're not racist I'm more than happy and ready to move back to the thread. <ok>

A few of your fellow Hull posters had already said they thought the remarks out of character.

I couldn't imagine city transforming and selling all the tradition and history down the drain.. I go to celtic and rangers a fair bit and while i enjoy it, when they score and win games.. The feeling i get is nowhere close to what i feel at city, i never even get completely angry there.. Its why i dont understand why people just support liverpool and man utd etc from hull.. The passion i have for city is incredible, i feel down when we lose and elated when we win.. No other teams come anywhere close to that for me and i cousl t feel that if we changed

How long until last year have Cardiff been above swansea in the leagues? Always loved being welsh #1 Obviously swansea were in div three with us in 03.. Now swansea have won a trophy, qualified for europe and comfortably surviving in the prem.. While cardiff have sold a tad of their soul by changing colours and badge and now possibly their whole tradition to even attempt to get there.. <laugh>

I reported them and no regrets whatsoever. The fact you continue to defend them has shown a different side to your character and it's not good. Your remarks and their defence is racist.

The Malaysian owners of Cardiff know they can't inflame the fans by moving too quickly. However the steps they have already taken to erode the identity of the club clearly shows their future intentions. The small Bluebird still on the Dragon badge will eventually go and the lip service paid to the fans by wearing blue for away games won't last long. After that who knows what will be next, but by that time the old Cardiff City will be unrecognisable anyway.

personally i think our club colours are ugly , Black and amber stripes doesn't look good on the eye IMO.

Its not even as though its our original colours . If it was up to me id drop most of the amber in the kit and make it mostly black with either amber pinstripes , a sash or a single vertical line .

Got some bad news for you Calv ... just got it on good authority that the Allams have decided to follow the Cardiff model with an Egyptian slant - brace yourselves for an influx of more Egyptian players, a change of strip to the blue and gold of Tutankhamuns's death mask, your badge to two upside down camel humps and your nickname to 'The Sphinxters' .... what is football coming to ...

In 1946 Harold Needler wanted to rename our club Kingston Upon Hull City AFC, playing in blue and orange with white shorts with a badge of the city's three crowns. In fact the programme for the first game at Boothferry Park showed a sketch of a player in such a kit. Only a major fuss prevented this. Imagine if it had gone ahead - " give us a K..." would have taken forever and "Come on you Crowns" hardly has a ring about it.

Malaysia play in Amber and black, to replicate the stripes of a tiger, which is very lucky in Asia.

The useless **** bought the wrong club. <laugh>
