No disrespect, but that attitude from one of our supporters saddens me. Do you really think that for the sake of money it's right that a future owner could strip Hull City of it's oldest traditions, it's colours, it's badge, it's name and everything we recognise as our club rather than a pale imitation of someone elses.
I think allowing that would be the highest act of treason against all of our past supporters and it would be nice to think that the impressive effort currently being exerted to support the rights of our fans at Huddersfield was dwarfed to microscopic proportions by the fight we would put up to protect the identity of HCAFC.

Spot on. If the fans have no say or not care at what happens to their football Club, then there would be point in the football Club whatsoever. The fans make the sport and Hull City fans have stuck with Hull City throughout some very dark times. It the same was to happen to us, I wouldn't expect it to be successful (from the owners point of view).
Cardiff clearly just have an obssession with success and are quite happy wiping out old traditions in favour of millions of pounds in investment. I feel sorry for those fans who actually stayed opposing it.
I don't get what traditions are being wiped out. It's still the same club, in the same City, at the same ground. I understand the loyalty to colours, I'd hate to think of us losing black and amber, it's who we are, but like Stevo said, for them it was Red or Dead.
Another way to look at it is, moving us from Boothferry to the KC was a massive change, but it didn't stop us being who we are or change our history, it added to it. I know the name change thing is slighty different but I just can't see the Dragons being dropped.

Cardiff are so desperate to get the success that Swansea have that they will willingly sell their soul.
No, if we could have just kept the club the same I think plenty would have been opposed to the plans, but our historical debt created by previous owners meant that we cannot exist as a Championship club with our debts. If you say go into Admin (like our mates the jacks) then you've obviously never been ripped off by a company going into admin. You feel robbed because basically you have been.
We obviously want our club to be successful. Would Portsmouth rather be in the Championship or PL playing in a different colour strip? Our situation is everybit as dire as theirs without VT or someone elses money. Until we have a viable option don't judge the fans too harshly who have accepted the shirt change as the lesser of 2 evils.
The Bluebirds, Cardiff Blues, the historic blue colours of the kit supporters and players have always worn, no doubt the songs referring to the colours and the name - All gone!
Now; The Dragons, Cardiff Dragons, the new red kit (which will no doubt soon be worn home and away), probably new songs referring to Red Dragons and an owner who only wants to see the club he supports in Malaysia represented here.
Sure they still play in the same city, but I can't see a lot to suggest it's the same club, and Cardiff supporters have sold out their connection to their own history for the modern day version of thirty pieces of silver.
So if you was a Cardiff fan, you'd have been happier to see your club disappear completely, rather than a colours change and potentially adding Dragon to the club name?

I think it's considered a lucky colour in Malaysia, in the same was as the number 8 is. Maybe.
City fans would do the same as Cardiff, if the same scenario happened with us. If we became successful nobody would bleat on about it.
Don't make out City fans are some kind of revolutionary mob who run the club and would risk life and limb for it. For one, we get average crowds when the prices of tickets aren't bad. Hardly hardcore.

Loads of teams change their colours- even City changed from Black & White to Black & Amber to Blue and back to Amber, back in the day. Also, we're always having the discussion whether we should ditch the stripes or go for plain shirts most seasons.

No we're not the Dragons yet or possibly ever. This is very much much a theory that has been picked up and ran with from one comment in an interview, I know I'm on here discussing it, but to describe it as done is a very long way off the mark.
The club wouldn't have disappeared. It might have dropped down the Leagues like Portsmouth, but big clubs eventually find new owners and get back on their feet.
So yes I would rather have risked going into administration than to support the Hull Budgies who play in yellow green and blue.
Yes, whereas blue is a funeral/mourning colour. Supposedly Man City and Chelsea really struggle in Asia despite their success. TBH I know **** all about Asian culture so I have no idea how much actual importance is placed on the shirt colour. VT is a very successful business man though and he thinks that from a marketing point of view (more sponsorship than shirt sales imo) it'll make the difference.
Then hope none of your friends or family lose their jobs due to the administration knock on effect in the local community. Admin is not something to be proud of.
No, honestly I wouldnt. If we suddenly started playing in red, white and black and changed our name to Hull Pyramids on the whim of the Allams I wouldnt go again. Ever.
