I again direct you to RickieRickie so that is someone. I just want Ramirez to be given a chance before we judge him, yes in the 14 games he has only played good in around 5. But we can all see the talent is there, he needs to first sort out the dead leg he gets every 5mins and then needs to adapt to our game. I feel he will become a great player in time and would love it to be while he is wearing a Saints shirt.

Ummm....I take it all the critical people never saw Henry or Bergkamp play when they first came over? Neither of them (particularly Henry) set the world alight at first until they got used to the English game....and neither of them turned out too shabby.....

Lol at all the above :). I'm not slagging him off at all. He is a great talent. I am merely saying if a bid came in for the money we paid then at the moment I would take it.

People talking about 'give him time' and 'a little patience is needed' need to think again. Cortese has shown that patience is not an option. The goal is to be fighting for euro spots in 2.5 years. That means not many are going to be given that much time.

I think Lallana is in the same boat really. Both class players. probably the number 1 & 2 in terms of ability. Both coming back from injury and Pottecino obviously doesn't consider either a shoe in. I'm pretty sure that Adkins would have started Lallana in the last game if not the one before. WE haven't done bad during that spell though.

I would be disappointed more if Lallana was sold than Ramirez. Still think if we are going to harp on about what Ramirez 'can' do that Lallana is the better player. I think you could see that in the MU game as well.

Jurys out, would like to keep both and no transfers till May so he has time on his side :) Can only make my assessment at this point on what we've seen so far and that IMO means if we could get that £xx million back then as things stand at the mo I would take it :) Just as if someone coughs up a £10m offer for Rickie in the summer I would probably take it.

If I bought a new super dooper machine and it was not performing that well yet someone offered me what I paid then I'd take it. Similarly if a old machine was nearing it's 'supposed' end of life yet someone offered me a decent price for it I would take it.

That's just business. I think we are all just struggling to adapt to the speed of progress that our chairman is aiming for and that speed doesn't include waiting around for anyone to settle in!!! We are too used to being supporters of that Premier league club that could do well in a few years if we slowly build. We are no longer building extension after extension on our house, our CEO is going straight for the mansion.

Whether we get there is a different matter but I think it's foolish to think that anyone in our side has much time at all to settle in.

Can't see Ramirez being moved on unless he wants to or Mauricio feels he doesn't suit our 'new' style after he's had some time to evaluate him. It will be interesting what happens in the summer...I suspect MP will have more influence than Nigel did on potential targets...like a new bride he will probably get what he wants. If we finish strongly, Saints may be more attractive to players as well.

If he doesnt reach expected levels next year i would sell, I admit some players need a season to adapt to the English game. But they dont need any longer than that
