I vaguely remember the mortgage being taken out by the SMC and I didn't understand it either. More than anything else, this has made Geraghty look a complete imbecile.
I'll declare I'm a pass holder for City and FC, along with around a few thousand others, however I've never read so many hypocritical posts. As pointed out City should take their fair share of criticism for getting into this mess, City wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the Allams or Adam Pearson for that matter, so I'm at a loss to understand the garbage that some of you come out with. I thought the Allams got into this because they wanted to give something back to Hull, they've pumped £50m into City (and I'm eternally grateful), a million quid into Rovers (why?) and knack all into FC, just a £500 bill. So I for one can understand why some FC fans feel disgruntled, I'm sure City fans would be applauding the Allams if Deano had been removed from the KC, so stop moaning UTT. Cum on u ull
I've just tweeted Blunderside's to suggest they pull out all the stops to get Geraghty back on to comment on the SMC statement. Bet he's not available.
I'll tell you why, because the vile and envious Hull FC fans have constantly vented their communal spleens at the Allams from day one. Envy, pure and simple. The gift to Rovers was because they needed it to improve their facilities and Assem Allam, as none can surely question, is nothing if not altruistic. Hull FC have no such need.
I really hope that the Allams build us a new stadium and **** the KC off.. Then FC can sink in a pile of ****
Fish out Why would the Smc remove anything of Hull Citys when Hull City have Stumped up the cash to display it ???? Unlike Hull FC doh
All that is pie in the sky. If city move away the kc will just deteriorate and we'll have a massive ****hole on the edge of the centre, which everyone coming into the city will be able to see.
Why cant those ****ing egg chasers get their facts right before playing the sympathy card that the Allams are out to get them. They should be questioning, why their owner felt the need to not to take up the first refusal on the rented picture spaces. They need to get their heads out of their arses and understand that in todays buisness world there are no free lunches, harsh as that may sound. Small time mentality. pretty much the same as HCC.
Spot on about the envy of Hull FC supporters. The shared stadium was always IMHO gonna end in tears - there may be fans who support both Clubs and for that I applaud them but my experience of FC supporters is somewhat tainted. Better for all concerned if the Allams bought the KC, moved FC out and built their own 15k stadium like Warringtons/Widnes's sited in the heartland of Hessle Road somewhere. As for Geraghty he is a total embarrassment to this City and the likes of Pat Doyle who put so much effort into getting the KC built will surely be despairing of this buffoon, who has, after years being an Independent Labour, been allowed back into a position of power by the Labour Council. The guys like a fox in a chicken run and should be told by his cronies to shut the **** up.
I'll tell you what is getting up the Hull FC fans' noses. For decades HCFC played second fiddle to Hull and Rovers in this City. Then, when Adam Pearson took over the club, things started to change. We were the ones succeeding, we were the ones making all the headlines, we were the ones attracting more than twice the crowds they were able to attract and now we are the ones that have, for the first time since Harold Needler, an owner who wants nothing more than to spend millions on sport in the City and on the people of Hull as well. They should change their colours from Black and White to All Green, because that's what it's all about. For the last 10 years the politicians and media in this City have done all they can to "beef up" Rugby League and put down football, under the tired and worn out banner of "Hull's a Rugby League Town". Well it isn't! It's a football CITY. Pretty soon now we will be back in the Premier League, whether it's this season or next, and the likes of Brady, Geraghty, Lloyd and the rest of the faceless unwashed in the media will look ever more like the pathetic, sad and envious men of yester-year that everyone knows they are. Think I'll go and sit down now.....I thank you!
as i intimated in a previous post, can I suggest that everyone in hull goes down to the guildhall and pastes their family photographs throughout. maybe even stick up a sign naming some of the rooms after their grandfathers. The council wont mind at all. After all its always free you know?
Firstly can I say, I have no problem with the Allams investing in Hull City and indeed the City of Hull. However, please remember that they, just like Adam Pearson, are successful businessmen and they have n't made their money by giving it away. There is no such thing as a 'gift' or a 'free-lunch' so to speak. They will want their pound of flesh somewhere along the way, and if Hull City benefit as a result then good on em. I am sure that if they are in it for the long haul, there will also be some direct upset for the fans and no doubt reasons for the flat-earth society from Guildhall and Boulevard to gloat! Indeed, I still don't think that this 'gift' to Hull KR was without strings. Why would any businessmen give anyone else anything? But once again that is what free enterprise is all about, and is how a capitalist society prospers and develops. There are always winners and losers and without getting too deeply into Marxist theory, overall society gains but the status quo will destroy itself in cycles.
There is no doubt that Hull City are benefitting from The Allams generosity but there is also no doubt that they will take money out of the club when we get promoted. Nobody should start complaining when they do because they deserve it. As long as Hull City are being run properly, which I think they are under The Allams, then there will be no complaints from me when we dont start throwing money @ overpaid premiership has beens. All I ask is that the premiership money is used to ensure the club's future whilst The Allams still get to take out a bit of cash for their troubles.
Back to the original point, the FC plastics over on that rlfans board are still regurgitating the same old ****e and thinking the statement just puts FC in a bad light. If it puts either club in a bad light I'd say it would be city due to Bartlett borrowing against the SMC, and in partnership with all the other rising costs, it seems that loan has been holding the SMC round the throat. From what I've read about what that Jack Whitehall bloke has done for the city, I'd like to think the Allams would sway just a bit and allow his room and pictures to remain free of charge just to save from dishonouring what seems like a truly great bloke, as he shouldn't charge city for windass, but I'm guessing that ones probably the deal clincher and without the sentiment behind that FC probably wouldn't give a **** about any of the other photos. As we keep saying, businessmen, no sentiment in business and you gotta be ruthless to achieve your goals.
