From Blunderside Sport on twatter "Hull City won't be signing Norwich City's Simeon Jackson on loan. We understand an enquiry was made last week but he's not available"

This means that Hull City will be signing Simeon Jackson on loan, an enquiry wasn't made last week but he is now available!

I fail to see how what I said was different to:

<laugh> You definitely have problems getting over things don't you?

Five minutes after we've discussed something, I've forgotten about it, you keep referring back to it for weeks.

Don't take things so personally, it's only a football message board, none of the **** we post on here really matters.

It is our local media's source of information!

Norwich have signed forward Kei Kamara from MLS team Sporting Kansas City. Just wondering if that might mean they are willing to let Simeon Jackson out on loan?

He becomes a FAT in the summer and Norwich City will allow him to go. Not good enough for the PL like.

I just wonder what people see in Simeone Jackson.

Lazy and not always at the races,. He had a shocker against Luton Town in the cup recently reading reports of the game. But he has done it in the championship before so may well prove a good short term loan signing.

How about going for Grant Holt on emergency loan?

No chance. Norwich City will need all the fire power they can muster. Far from safe from relegation at the moment.

I cant see why we would want him DJC scored nearly as many goals in half a season than SJ has in two and a half!

He's scored 17 goals since being @ Norwich (July 2010). I cant see us going for him...

Fryatt has scored 24 in that time. Only 7 goals difference and Jackson has played at a higher level with probably less appearances. Judging strikers on goals alone is nonsnese and that proves it.

WTF? We need a proven goal scorer. What else would you like to judge a goal scorer on?

It's not goals that I have a problem with it's the assumption on messageboards that every striker's goal rate will stay the same for the rest of their careers. People make out as though every striker either falls into the 'goalscorer' or 'not goalscorer' category yet there doesn't seem to be any definitive boundary. Presumably you agree that Fryatt scores goals, but Jackson with only 7 less over 2 years doesn't? All I'm saying is I wish people would put some thought into judging strikers.

"A very decent Championship striker who has not realy done it yet in the prem. (to be fair, his chances have been limited).

For me though, he is very much a confidence player. Could be a good move for him if he is not seen as needed here. get a goal or two into him early and he could be superb."

From a Norwich fan. <ok>

I wouldn't say Fryatt had been prolific in his time with us, but he is the best striker we have, and would possibly have made it into double figures by now if he was in the team this season.

The problem is we are making chances, but not finishing them - very similar to last season with Fryatt in the team. We need someone who is capable of finishing them. And I have no idea who that could be in the ELW!

He joined us and started slowly, again, chances for him were limited but then Paul Lambert made probably the best substitution ever. We were in a decent position in the league (3rd or 4th) and 3-0 up at home to Scunthorpe when Lambert took off Holt and brought on Jackson. Jackson scored 3 more and it really propelled his confidence into orbit. from that moment on we pretty much got promoted on the back of his goals including the goal that grabbed a 1-0 away win at Pompey and put us up.

He'll forever be a cult hero here for that alone."

"Will do an excellent job at Champ level. Plenty of pace, good movement but you will need someone capable of putting decent balls through to him to allow him to utilise these assets. Sometimes looks to have a poor first touch and lack a bit of composure in front of goal but on his day when his confidence is high (as KennyFoggo says) he can be brilliant - his goal against Psoh in the cup shows what he is all about when he has a good day."

They're the Norwich fans thoughts on him so far.

Agreed. I don't think we can rule out Jackson from being able to do that job though.

Spot on. Some people just dont get it. We could sign Messi and there would be No Guarantee of goals.!!!
