FFS, how many more DJ threads are there going to be ?? Merge them all. Getting like Bullard now. As for DJC himself, he got what he deserved last night. Money grabbing git.
Seems the reason DJ Campbell was late at Blackburn was that Holloway was in the middle trying to hijack the deal. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2271655/DJ-Campbell-join-Blackburn-Rovers-QPR.html DJ Campbell's move from QPR to Blackburn failed to go through before the 11pm transfer deadline. Blackburn have appealed to the Premier League and Football League, and will try again on Friday morning, but it now looks unlikely to be ratified. Campbell had arrived in Blackburn at about 9.45pm to try and complete the move to the Championship club. The speedy striker had also been a target of the Championship's third placed side, Hull City, and in one of the more bizarre twists of this deadline day, the ever-eccentric Ian Holloway performed the first deadline-day dash to try and pull off a signing. Sportsmail understood the Crystal Palace manager drove up the M1 and along the M62 to the Hull hotel DJ Campbell was staying in to try and hijack the QPR striker's move to the KC Stadium.
Sadly that wont happen. Some desperate club will take him when the ELW opens up. We dodged a bullet it appears. Indeed. It will be interesting to see if Blackburn take him from next friday when the ELW opens up.
The press office at City suggested yesterday, that Holloway's antics in his limo, only actually happened in the head of a Mail journalist.
To even think that Ian Holloway would jump in alimo and dash up the M1/M62 is crazy when the good old mobile is enough. The thought of it made me chuckle like.
Unless they stayed at the hotel with DJ the whole time how would they know if it was true or not? Im not saying it did happen, but the City press office deny a lot of things....
I doubt Holloway left London. But it is a good story, almost as funny as the Peter Odemwingie saga. Lol
It's seems Brucey is rather pissed off with DJ's antics... Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham Steve Bruce not mincing his words. 'The way DJ Campbell's agent behaved was nothing short of disgraceful.' Not a happy man. Hull City Official ‏@hullcityteam Bruce: "I'll have to remind him the next time I see him that it was me who pulled him out of Brentford a few years ago". #hcafc Hull City Official ‏@hullcityteam Steve Bruce feels there was a 'lack of respect' shown by DJ Campbell and his representatives yesterday. #hcafc pic.twitter.com/Y3q01DOs
And he's right. There's no room for sentiment in business, but it appears DJ just buggered off whilst being cared for by City in Hull.
Just got me wondering, but who paid for the hotel? I doubt he stayed at the Camponile, so if we paid, do we get the money back?
