You heard of the Wars of the Roses? Red vs White - Lanca****e vs Yorkshire.

Leeds, but only because of all the clowns I was at school with in the 70's.
That said, our games against Leeds are usually rubbish, traditionally we've had far better games against the Sheffield clubs.
When I first started going to City, our main rivalries were Grimsby, Lincoln and York, but that seems a hell of a long time ago now.
Mainly because it was a hell of a long time ago.![]()
Lol, agreed OLM, don't forget Scarborough
I always found it hard to have any genuine dislike for Scarborough, their fish and chips were too good.
Though for reasons I can't explain, I never felt quite the same about Bridlington.
Strangely enough Barnsley never get mentioned, thats ok with me because I have friends from there and I actually enjoy going to visit them when I'm home and try and get to at least one game at Oakwell.
Apart from Leeds they are probably our closest divisional rivals now along with Donny but it's hard not to like them tykes they are a nice bunch of football fans
You go to Old Trafford and ask their fans what they think of Leeds.
You go to Elland Road and ask the Leeds fans what they think of Man U.
Mutual dislike = rivalry. We have been historical competitors in the 70s and in the 90s. Geography? You heard of the Wars of the Roses? Red vs White - Lancashite vs Yorkshire.
nice waffle shop in brid tho...

I will wait until the final part of next season to see who are rivals for the automatic promotion are.
They will then technically be our biggest rivals.
In the meantime I'll just continue hating TWS.
, but I have a lot of respect for them and their support.Technically Loiner the wars of the roses wasn't Yorshire v Lancashire. It was the house of York (headed by a southener) v House of Lancaster (headed by a Taff). The North was a hot bed of support for the Lancastrians and the south for the House of York, as Richard III was the king and his main power base was in London.
More to the point, sorry for boring everyone about history, but it has nothing to do with football and it's a fabricated reason for your "rivalry".
You could perhaps google the war of the roses to find out why that's not strictly accurate.
Edit: Ah, someone beat me to it.
AS I said, you're not competing with Man U on any level, so you may not like them, but that's not rivals as such is it? The Man U fans I know are less interested in TWS than we are. Go figure.
OK then Captain Arsey, substitute any mention of Roses or Wars for 'Yorkshire vs Lancashire Rivalry'; does that satisfy you?
I'd point out that this thread is meant to be about Hull City. For some reason all you seem to want to discuss is Leeds United...
