Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds: "Beckford looked like he was feeling sorry for himself and he can't do that.
"The only thing that is going to get us out of this predicament is hard work from him on the training pitch."

He added: "When you look at the stats, Beckford is not working hard enough to stop the opposition.

"If he doesn't work harder than the opposition and they are good players then they will punish us.

"Believe me he'll be working hard to rectify this and if that means dropping him then so be it. His reputation doesn't go before anyone at this club."
 
Newcastle striker Nile Ranger has been arrested for rape

I think he will be sacked by them as he had a final warning about his behaviour not long ago. He is always in trouble and recently had a pop at the Newcastle fans on twitter

I think this will be the straw that breaks the camels back

They just gave him a new 5 1/2 year deal, for reasons that escape me, as he's a prick and his goal scoring record's crap.

5 1/2 years? Probably about the time he will serve if found guilty. Will Newcastle still pay him, or will it be deemed that he has broken the terms of his contract?

They'll just sack him, he was given a final warning recently, he's got quite a history...

In 2007, he was sentenced to 11 weeks in a young offenders institute for street robbery.

In May 2011, he was questioned by Newcastle police after posing with a replica gun in a photograph(the gun was taken off him).

In August 2011 he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man in Newcastle city centre leaving the victim unconscious in the street, but he was found not guilty.

In March 2012 he was convicted of being drunk and disorderly in Newcastle's Cathedral Square and was given a six-month conditional discharge.

In March 2012, he was fined by The FA for making homophobic comments on Twitter. Later in the month he was arrested once more, this time for breaching terms of his bail whilst awaiting trial on four assault charges.

In September 2012, he was charged with criminal damage after kicking in his girlfriends front door(her house, not her fadge), but the charges were dropped after the court accepted his claim that he thought she was being kidnapped.
