Well Roger last night was outstanding. Dunno what that reviewer in the paper saw but not the same concert as me.
My original question was- what's everyone's favourite live performance?
Well mine was last nights, its jumped straight to the top.
Comfortably numb had a 40 year old northerner almost in tears, it's just a same Gilmour wasn't there to help out on the guitar but his stand in did an honourable job.
Long live pink floyd.
BTW - fave all time gig has to be Ozzy Osbourne at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1980, closely followed by Judas Priest & the original line-up of Iron Maiden at the Deeside Leisure Centre in 1979 or 1980 (can't remember).
Wishbone Ash, City Hall Newcastle, Dec 1972. Floyd, Berlin 1980..
Believe it or not (and include IOW 2 and early Beatles and Stones) favourite ever live performance was Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen in Southampton 1975.....fantastic!!!I'm going to see Roger waters- the wall tomorrow night at the O2, can't wait and really looking forward to seeing comfortably numb, the greatest song of all time.
I've just heard that Dave Gilmour joined him on stage last night, I will be severely f@&ãed off if he is not there tomorrow night.
What's everyone favourite live performance you have seen ?
