Lots and lots of very black notes, cross rhythms, very sneaky time changes over 1 bar, especially in 'Master of The House'. In the chorus, it goes from 2/4 and all of a sudden 1 bar of 5/8, then 3/4 than back to 2/4. Easy enough to play, but a bugger to conduct, especially with other 'things' happening there as well.
If it was me conducting that bit, I'd probably fiddle with my cufflinks, until that bit was over and hope the orchestra managed to get through it, then carry on with the more straightforward bit again.
It is. Only 2 ways to do it. Ive explained one already, and that is to cheat. the other is to subdivide.
Very strange how different shows affect different people. I was pleased when Les Mis finished when I went to see it, did nothing for me at all. To much singing and a storyline which had no interest to me in the slightest. The people on stage were excellent singers which was the only thing good about the show. As I say, it is only my honest opinion.
different strokes for different folks ...if we all liked the same thing, i'd never get tickets for anything, they'd always be sold out! lol
that not safe for work post was disappointing, far better on the QPR board http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/192184?p=4147686&viewfull=1#post4147686
