So what did you call it when Frank Lampard, Drogba and co would take the ball into the corner and run the clock down? - expansive football?

If the officials are doing their job then the ball boys can take as much time as they want - and it would make no difference, because the ball is dead - the watch stopped.

Buck what i am saying is yes they were time wasting but you tell me a team or a ball boy in anyother ground who hasnt takien their time a bit when they need a win or a result. Yes he was time wasting, but he didnt deserved to be kicked.

So if time wasting is cheating then yes he was. Please dont talk about rolling around Hazard himself did it throughout the game. Then obviuosly in the past if someone breathed on drogba he was over. So is that wrong. Its part and parcel of the game. You just cant go and kick someone because they are doing it.

I have watched teams waste time from the first minute as no doubt you have. But you cant go and kick the keeper because he is taking his time over a goal kick. you have to let the ref deal with it. Unfortunately for you Hazard didnt and took the law into his own hands. Silly man. Lets see what the FA and Chelsea do. If i am wrong and he is not suspended i am more than happy to appologies to you and admit i got it wrong.

First of all... If you had read my previous posts... I'm not tarnishing their victory in any way. I have said numerous amounts of times that they deserved to go through and well done to them! They did really well!

But do you think that the officials every time the ball goes out and the ball boy takes an age to give it back add on time? No. They make a rough estimation. Apparently the ball was in play for 90 secs of that additional time...

The ball is in play and is tactical. That is fine because Swansea can do something about it. When the ball is out of play and the ball boys take an age to give it back we can't do anything about. They knew what they were doing... And the officials never stop the watch every time the ball isn't on the field. Never. They make a rough estimation.
 
But... your ballboys were shocking. Not just the one who got kicked... all of them. The amount of time wasting was a joke tbh.

dont talk daft. are you saying that your ball boys and every clubs ball boys dont waste time.....its their job to fetch the ball not the players and if hazard had not interfered he would have got the ball back into play quicker....This is nothing but a smoke screen to deflect another exit out of a cup by chelsea...

So who had it for the other four and a halp minutes. Perhaps the ball boys stuck it up their jumpers and hid it. Clutching at straws spring to mind. If you can tell me that Chelsea have never wasted time then i suppose you have an arguement. But i can remember them wasting it last year against Barcelona. Walking off slowly after SUB taking time at throw ins goal kicks. No doubt by your theory the ref estimated that and to your benefit. but thats ok though.

I'm more concerned regarding what we will do about this disgraceful time wasting by our ball boys! If the FA have to deal with Hazard, (and they will) I hope our club will be disciplined too by the FA, for this shoddy behaviour, whether or not we have given instructions to do this, is immaterial, the fact that by his own admission he was used to this practise proves that the club have turned a blind eye to this cheating, and as such that is the same thing. Martin Morgan in my view needs to make a public statement apologising for his sons disgraceful behaviour, that has detracted from what should have been all about our players hard work over these two semi final games.

I hope Huw Jenkins makes sure that this spoilt little brat is no where near pitch side ever again!..............<ok>

Mate... We will disagree because it really depends on your view and who you support.

I completely agree that Hazard should not have gone over to kick the lad but your ballboys were taking a lot of time. I've been to loads of away games and home games and this was the worst I have seen. All us Chelsea fans were complaining about it before the incident. Hazard won't have his ban overturned. I think we can guarantee that because although I think he kicked the ball, he may have slightly touched the 'kid'. Which is out of order. Both parties are in the wrong. Yes... we can go over the things that we have done with Drogba. He fell over very easily BUT our own fans got very frustrated with him because he was wasting time and he stopped doing it.

I think that we should do what they do in European matches. Each ballboy holds another ball so that when the ball goes out of play, the ball boy can give him a new one and then retrieve the other one. It helps to keep the game ticking.

You made it a 'notion' buddy not me - and are you saying that if Hazard had got the ball back quicker the result would have been different? - time to let it go I think - not as if Chelsea haven't 'cheated' to cup success over the years .. Erlund Jonsson - last minute of extra-time, FA Cup quarter final 1997 - one of the most blatant acts of simulation ever seen on a football pitch ...

All the ball boys were time wasting and Hazard got fed up and went to get it himself. I mean when Hazard pushes the brat to the ground the 'kid' should give him the farking ball! Why then does he proceed to lying on it and rolling on it? Hazard tries to get the ball but can't so in frustration and in trying to get the ball he goes to kick the ball from under the brat and may have slightly touched this 'kid'.

Listen mate I think you get the impression that I'm extremely bitter. Yes... I'm not happy but I (again) congratulate you on a brilliant performance over 2 legs. Please don't keep saying that we are all bitter when we have been congratulating you. At the end of the day, it has taken 2800 Chelsea fans a long time to get to Swansea because of the snow etc. and we have a right to be a bit annoyed and though this is a smokescreen it is still legitimate.

That's available to the Premier League as well. As far as I'm aware each club has the choice to run a "multi-ball" system or not, and to be honest I'm quite surprised we don't as we tend to go for quick throws & freekicks, so it would suit our style anyway. The issue with this system is it can get a bit chaotic sometimes with too many balls being thrown onto the field at once, so the ball-boys (and girls) actually need to be trained...not to mention the cost of all the extra balls ;)

Two wrongs don't make a right. Let the FA deal with Hazard and let the Swans deal with the ball boy and move on.

No! I never said the result would be different. I'm just saying that it was cheating and out of order. Many clubs have said the same thing to us over the years and complained to us. What so because we are the victims this time we aren't allowed to complain!? I travelled 5 hours from Leeds to Swansea yesterday to watch the game and another 3 hours home and it is frustrating! You must at least understand that!

Well if the ball boy is cheating and should be sanctioned (and he should imo) then Ba should have been sent off for diving in the first few minutes, Ramires should have been sent off for a terrible, dirty challenge on Ki and Ba should also have been sent off (again) for elbowing Leon in the face.
Chelsea had some very lucky breaks from the ref but the Hazard thing was just so stupid even the abysmal ref had to actually pull his red out.

Anyway, tough couple of games, well won and credit to the chelsea away fans for the making the trip in snow (even if they were on a hiding to nothing! hehe)
