Mate this newspaper was also saying how outrageous it was that Hazard had done it and has put him to shame and we are a vile club. That was this morning and they were defending the 'kid'. I feel that Hazard felt he had to apologise because if he didn't then he would be ridiculed and called scum etc... The Chelsea FC website said how ridiculous it was that Hazard had been sent off saying he got the ball but then apologised.. My guess is that it was a forced apology. Anyway there are always going to be 2 sides to the story but I and many others believe Hazard got the ball and the brat milked it hugely. Hence cheating. But I maintain the notion that you deserved to go through and I wish you all the best

I think he must have made contact even though the lad may have exaggerated it. It's ludicrous that the ball could be kicked out from under him without contact, even if minor. But to me it doesn't really matter if there wasn't contact. He kicked out towards the boy who had custody of the ball. He was trying to get the ball for sure but as others have said he shouldn't have been anywhere near him and shouldn't have had any interaction at all. Can't see the red being overturned and rightly so.
My opinion, for what its worth, is that benitez must be rubbing his hands at the incident as it diverts attention from a dire chelski performance. Instead of talking about the performance and benitez imminent sacking we are talking about a ball boy and how well back had coached him in diving.

For the record, I have spoken to the father of the paramedic at the game (who is coincidently a Chelsea fan). He wanted the lad to go to hospital as he had real concerns but Martin Morgan said no. I would rather listen to the attending medical expert rather than keyboard warrior's theories.
There was no 'cheating' fella - if the officials added the stoppage time on then there was no advantage gained - Hazard has only himself to blame for getting sent off - he put himself in that position rather than letting the officials sort it out - and maintain what you like - the swans went through on merit not on any notion.
