Gazumped ! As Vasilis Torosidis flies in for a medical with Roma, the Olympiacos talentâs agent confirms âwe were about to sign a contract with Fulham when the better offer came in.â The right-back had been in advanced negotiations for a switch to Craven Cottage over the last few days, but there was a sudden change of plan. âItâs true, we were about to sign a contract with Fulham when the better offer came in from Roma right at the last minute,â agent George Kazianis told Calciomercato.it. The Club are obviously hedging their bets on Maarten Skelenburg - "Fulham target Maarten Stekelenburg is no closer to moving to the Barclays Premier League after it was revealed the Italian club are yet to receive an offer" Here is a link to the full story http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2266571/Maarten-Stekelenburg-transfer-news-No-formal-offer-Fulham.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
I know we're favourites to sign Derek Boateng but what about this guy - Moussa Sissoko a 23 year old 'holding' midfielder. Toulouse are apparently willing to let him go for £2.5m. please log in to view this image A number of clubs are showing interest, including Aston Villa - http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/aston-villa-target-toulouse-midfielder-moussa-sissoko-8452363.html Just a thought and as I said in the other thread I wouldn't be averse to having two defensively minded midfielders behind say, Sidders and Bryan.
His agent seems to be doing a bit of horse trading and saying that he (might) be available for £4m (I think pretty much double our original offer) http://threeandin.com/2013/01/22/fulham-linked-with-4m-rated-fc-nordsjaelland-star-video/
Juventus Captain. Doubt if it was related but no sooner has Torosidis been transferred than Olympiakos have sacked their manager, Leonardo Jardim. Bit like the Nigel Adkins affair if not worse; the guy hasn't lost a game all season, winning 14 and drawing 3.
Just to through a name into the mix, how about a potential loan deal for Jack Rodwell. Back from injury and in need of some game time, he would be a welcome addition for 6 months.
CM sorry i missed your post and just seen it. Agree and unless you know me (and how i post) would realise i normally say a few things like 'muppet' and 'donut' but take it with a pinch. I understand some people may take offence but it really is just my 'silly way'. I posted after the original Bidley post that i was just getting his attention and no offence was mean't. Agree with what you say about the Chelsea poster but like most QPR fans i have him on 'Ignore' so i didn't read his post. It was only when i was not signed in did i see something about QPR. I will take your advice and just not respond. Anyway latest on M'vila is another new bid has gone in and it's not from Newcastle. Think it's down to QPR and Fulham and this Russian side.
From what I read it will depend on whether he gets his France ban lifted or reduced. If it's lifted he'll want to move to England or stay in France, to up his chances of getting back in the France squad. If it's upheld he'll go to Russia to rack up a few quid while he's banned and look to move when he's served his ban. Makes things interesting!
Fair enough, Ellers. Some of us (me included) are perhaps a little oversensitive to some QPR fans who have, at times, overwhelmed this board with WUMmery. My own view is that throwing around those kind of insults, even as a joke, is unnecessarily provocative, but each to their own. Thanks for replying; there are plenty on here who wouldn't bother to do that. I'm still hoping for M'Vila, but I'm not convinced he's coming to either of our clubs.
Agree it seems to be dragging on a bit now. TBH i really only want players that are up for a relegation scrap. Russia! gosh i hope he knows what the place is like.
Sounds also as if there are problems in how the Russians will pay his fee and it could all be Rennes trying to put pressure on them - "It is complicated, but we are still in negotiations," said Dreossi. "It is not agreed yet, there are delays in payment, everything. I hope we will find a solution. Also a new offer came in England and that could be interesting but Rubin Kazan is the priority, and we are negotiating. "I expect the player to tell me he has reached an agreement with the club so we can finish the negotiations." As well as saying the new "English offer" is not from Newcastle, their General Manager seems to rule out QPR - "Dreossi feels QPR are now out of the running, adding: "QPR? I met with them for a long time [on Monday] but I think they will withdraw and I have not heard from them since." Source: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11681/8427734 Rumours are that the mystery English club is Spurs. However, the story is more likely to be part of the Russian negotiations and a final decision from the player, as Bidley says.
Dutch papers say that we are looking to take the PSV Eindhoven right back Stanislav Manolev on loan but they only want to sell. Surprise, surprise the man trying to broker the deal is agent, Mino Raiola - "Stanislav Manolev is not in the plans for Dick Advocaat and wants to leave as soon as possible at PSV . His agent Mino Raiola tries to accommodate the right back at Fulham , but so far it does not appear that Manolev to the club of Martin Jol will go. Fulham want the Bulgarian International ie rent, while PSV only want to sell." Source: http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=180669
