Freeing up (not literally of course) Huddlestone ? PS Must be truth in there being competition for Diame if Levy is not leaving it till the 31st.
Agree with you Bandit. When Feb comes, and all we have signed is a one legged arse kicker, who is not performing well, club reports will say, he needs time to settle.
Stories that Peter Odemwingie of West Brom has handed in a transfer request. Earlier this week Harry was talking about him in the press! Follow up story is that the club have rejected Odemwingie's request. Good on them. But really I hope they ask for it to be looked into - it's not just the 'tapping up' that's wrong, it's also the unsettling effect it has on the player/team/club.
Harry is the media's darling, even if something was to be done by WBA about his blatant tapping up, the authorities would not take any note.
I haven't seen anyone post this so far but the club have taken up the option of an extra year in Jol's contract. Well that is brilliant news and dispels the rumours of him parting company with us.
This was the original quote attributed to Jol today, Bandit - "They took that option, so that was it from their side," he said in the Daily Star Agree with you whites. However Jol hasn't said he's accepted the offer and it seems to be from the same story posted here on 8th November 2012 - “Fulham want to activate the extra year and I’m happy for them to do that. We talk to each other every day and maybe a month ago the decision was made. An option is an option and they did that. I’m quite happy here.” http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2012/november/08/jol-on-contracts
Thanks for that, doesn't sound too promising though. Almost makes it seems like he's here against his will!
I reckon, back in November, he was hoping for more than a 1 year extension, Bandit. It may be he said what he did today to remind people he hasn't yet agreed. If he did say it of course, and it wasn't just lazy journalism.
Are we going to turn the tables? please log in to view this image "Fulham have made a late enquiry for South Korea international left-back Yun Suk-Young, 22, who is due to join QPR pending a work permit" Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2268453/Fulham-keen-QPR-target-Yun-Suk-Young.html
Think he has just read a text from his agent telling him that QPR are losing 0 - 4 at home to MK Dons !!!
The story that we are interested in James Mackie has re-surfaced "Fulham and Norwich are both lining up £3million bids for QPR winger Jamie Mackie. Scotland international Mackie, 27, has been told he can leave Loftus Road, with Rangers boss Harry Redknapp targeting new recruits to help beat relegation from the Premier League. Mackieâs preferred option is thought to be fellow London club Fulham, but Canaries chief Chris Hughton is keen to bring him to Carrow Road. Former Exeter midfielder Mackie has made 73 appearances and scored 18 goals for QPR since joining in 2008." Source: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-transfer-news-norwich-and-fulham-1559561?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Not sure what his best position is and where exactly we would want to play him - possibly right midfield? Where Kasami could/should be?
Just managing expectations. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21198560 Check the table in the middle of page on the left. Average spend by Fulham in January since 2003 is about £2m below the calculated average of £4.8m. Will you advocate spending more? Not necessarily because if you see a few of the teams that have spent considerable more the rewards do not justify the investment.
He'd be a good squad player. He puts in a shift and plays with more heart than most of our current side. Not really the position (unless Jol see's him in a central role) that should be prioritised, though.
Harry's at it again. With Nelsen gone and Ferdinand about to go on loan, he said today - "Redknapp ruled out signing Fulham's Brede Hangeland. "I would like to have (him), but I don't see (his) club selling (him) said Redknapp"
