Thats the only way i can see them selling him in this window, promotion is far more important to them than the 8m transfer fee or whatever they get.
So from the guys listed in the first few transfer posts... Ba - Gone to Chelsea Llorente - Gone Juve M'Vila - Probably gone to QPR Holtby - Gone to Spurs Loic Remy - Gone to QPR Debuchy - Gone to Newcastle Huntelaar -Re-signed for Schalke Sneidjer - Gone to Galatasary Eeek - Arsenal moving fast as always!
Honestly I'd just snatch M'Vila, he's obviously reluctant to go to QPR. His "antics" are really exaggerated. Almost everything boils down to one stupid decision. Not like he gets overly aggressive with his club teammates or something. That French clubs are eager to sell tells you nothing, that's how French clubs work.
This has pissed me off. This is a player we need and should get, especially for that price. We only have 3 CB's now and Mbiwa can also play in midfield or as a full back. He also impressed against us. What the hell is going on?
Are we even being linked with anyone? Waiting for Arsenal to sign someone is like watching paint dry, but at least then you know you will get the expected result at the end and the paint will be dry, with Arsenal you dont know (expect?) any signings will be completed
I don't know if this guy is reliable, but what he is saying potentially gives a bit of clarity and hopefully it comes off. https://twitter.com/jonrest Read his last 3 tweets. So Newcastle have only made contact with Montpellier which has been positive for them, but are yet to speak to the player, so we are now looking to hijack it.
That Ian Holloway Rant is Funny He comes across as a little man trying to start a fight What he would like more than anything in the world is to be manager of a big club who has money and didn't ever need to sell anyone in any transfer window. He could then puff his chest out and tell the press to Fu.k off But he's not at a big club so he needs to wind his neck in.
I used to quite like Holloway when he was in charge of Blackpool. Since they were relegated and he has changed clubs he has become an idiot though.
Holoway is probably just pissed off because he won't make any money out of this proposed transfer. Apparently he had a deal with Blackpool that he got a percentage of any transfer fee they got for players he brought to the club, hence the reason he was more than happy to talk about transfers when he was at Blackpool. I found it very strange that a club would allow a manager to pocket a percentage of a transfer fee, but that's football for you.
